Seventh Cleveland report Whats ups "Purple People".....i figured i would take a minute out to add a few snips that some of the other Cleveland reports did not.... First off id like to say that the concert (as usual) was awesome.... The new drummer(Mr. Blackwell)was the BOMB! hopefully we will c some new album material including our new buddy on the drums... I was also very impressed with Geneva.. she not only has a beautiful body but can also dance her ass off....She was a great add to the performance...(i had previously seen her at the celebration up close in person and on stage she has a great presence) The rest of the band Morris, Rhonda, Kip, and Najee were also all right on target and rip-it for us Clevelanders. A very funny begining prior to the show...a small man dressed to look like A Prince Look alike walked through the main floor and the whole place got on on thier feet and started screaming and cheering thinking it was "Prince" himself.... The woman next to me nearly fell from her seat..reaching for him thinkin it was Prince..me and my buddy got a kick out of it...knowing it wasnt Prince..since we seen him in person up close...Although the man really didnt look that much like Prince... he was dressed sharply and at one point got on top of his seat and raised his hands to 1,000 of screaming fans...a very funny site indeed..... Now to performance happen-ings.. Prince (as he did the last 3 times he was in Cleveland) invited girlz and boyz up on stage to dance for a bit...if im not mistaken it was during "Gett Off" at this time George Clinton and Doug-e Fresh were also on stage... Everybody busted a move and were havin a great time..It was a cool xsperience to watch..(i did have floorseats myself so im kickin my own ass for not runnin up their and tryin to get on stage but either was it was still cool) Somewhere in the middle of the show during "When Will We Get Paid" Prince had mention that all though he had love for Britney Spears and Eminem they were a few of the artist that could get thier songs on the "Radio" and that he himself (Prince) could not....But that it was cool because "he had already been on the radio" and that its not the public or the artist that get thier music on the radio it the exectutives in L.A and New York that make a national playlist...it was alot more complex of a speech and very intresting but that pretty much gives u an idea of his point..i thought it was cool.... One of the things that i was surprised i didnt c anyone else report on was... at the end of the show during "COME ON" the whole right side of the Speakers in the convocation center went out....only the left was working.....I think this might of had something to do with the early shut down and the reason why he didnt play the "Santana Medely"...All in all still it was a great performance and a wonderful xsperience Thank u Prince.....and to all yall Purple People if he comes through ur town.. dont miss it .....its off the Hook! | |
