At the time of the release these were the tentative dates of the Celebration. I read that Prince confirmed this during one of the Japan shows. Anyway...now the cd is just a convenient way to make up for the fact that there isn't going to be a Celebration. | |

or maybe because it's a Catholic (Christian) holiday - Corpus Christi I believe is the English name for it...
Well, I don't think he's a very big fan of Lincoln anyways, so I doubt that is why he circled it.
This was the source of the suspected dates for a 2003 Celebration.
If he does, my guess is that the period covers Summer Solstice and maybe it's about that.
I'm baffled why it was so unthinkable to folks that the celebration was scheduled to coincide with the slave release celebration..  I mean come on, the summer solstice?!?  Hmm... black man, now openly studies history, invokes slavery and lincoln repeatedly... schedules annual celebration on the same day end of US slavery is celebrated INSTEAD of on his birthday (which as far as I know was always the date of the celebration).
