Rave 2000 US version released?

[Editor's note: Bart Van Hemelen (tenthousand@yahoo.com) points out that the announced release date is October 31st. - MWC]

I just picked up a copy of "Rave Un2 the Year 2000" on DVD and VHS in a
Mall in Oveido, Florida! The store was called For Your
Entertainment, and they told me they have had it since the 24th! I
happened to walk in as they were playing the Video. Lenny Kravitz was
singing "Fly Away"!! I couldn't believe it, I was planning on asking
them if they were going to have it on sale on Oct. 31st! I stood there
and watched a few minutes of it before rushing home to watch the Video,
then the DVD!

As suspected they chopped up the order of the performance and added the
footage from "The Time". I enjoyed it as it brought back great memories
of being there!
Actually the Video came off better than actually being there (after the
long wait and the technical difficulties). The footage is choppy at
times and there are times when you wish they would just stay in place for
more than a three seconds. The DVD is alot sharper. DVD's are GREAT and
I really enjoyed being able to stop it at any time and have a really
sharp picture, without the blur that you get on Videos. I was even able
to stop it and find myself in the crowd!

In the Interview section they added (I believe) snipets of an Interview
with Prince. I don't remember it in the New Years Pay Per View, I could
be wrong. It's nothing spectacular.

Freedom Newz is taken straight from His NPG Website.

Peep This is the page from the Website selling the "Sampler Series".

The Bonus Groovez are o.k. Again, I don't remember seeing them on the
New Years PPV.

The most significant difference since the PPV (besides the new editing)
is the addition of the interaction of the "Greatest Romance Ever Sold"
Video along with him singing it on stage. I thought it worked well
together.

The difference from the VHS and the DVD is the addition of the "Peep
This" and "Freedom Newz" on the DVD.
