This is an old book with a new cover and, apparently, a new introduction. I would guess the Prince article is the same as in the previous edition...curious to see, though. The book is 12 years old or so and, if I'm remembering correctly (highly doubtful) the Prince article was written in the 80's.

i just looked at this the other day & Loder updates the forward to include prince. He recalls how he went to paisley for that rave interview in 1999 & how prince called up the band members & got fans to come via the website & jammed through a littany of hits. Loder then ends it by saying can anyone tell me why Prince isn't still ruling the world? He obviously walked away impressed as ever. I think we all wonder that after seeing him live, but we all know the answer to that one..

On Purple Rain, he mentioned that PR was the first popular rock n roll movie that didn't have an emphasis in drug use and was actually anti-drug. Pretty cool article.

Yes, I remember that review. He talked about how he was impressed that the film showed the band members doing some constructive, like practicing and rehearsing, etc.
