The last few years Prince's official web sites have been changed completely starting on New Years Day.

Was anyone advised that the site would be going down?
It beggars belief how the man can let things slide like that, especially after plugging the site on the recent shows. How do members feel right now? I know that I, as a member, am not impressed with the lack of info surrounding the site going down. What effort would it have taken to send a simple email to all members advising them what was/is happening??
On a different note, the man has kicked his fans in the teeth again - this time by threatening the Housequake website.

HI i got mine on tuesday,book came a little worse for wear but having waited on ONA studio cd for 7 months I can live with it.The cd is exellent and very well put together.Still undecieded on to re join NPG club. Has anybody else had probs with getting there cds.

At the end of the day, the NPG music club IS a business, and if that business is not delivering, then it's members are more than within their rights to express their dissatisfaction.

They're likely changing all of their wording to counter the complaints sent to the BBB.

I'm with Calhoun. If he's going to give props to the club then I hope the site's back up by tonight.

And I hope they change it. I'm tired of the way it looks now. Definitely time for an upgrade.

YES!!! I was surprised to see that the NPGMC site has been down for sooo long. But SO WHAT, its not like its updated daily with fresh content from NPGMC. Most members know every pixel of images and every story that has been posted. So it is not like anyone is missing anything.

BUT! I think PRINCE is a very smart business man. He knows this is the climax of the ONE NIGHT ALONE tour and NPGMC. With all concerts completed and the release of the box set, Wouldn't this be the best time to bring the site down and prepare for the next site release?

Prince is the master of subliminal messages and head games. He most likely is trying to generate a stir among the NPGMC members before he drops a phat new improved, revised, spectacular, Digital kingdom melodies site.

A few things come to mind. First, it looks like the scroll at the very top of the page are different. It could be that the website is going through updates or changes to be better for its fans. This happened at the turn of the millenium, when the Love 4 One Another site turned into the npg site.

Also, could it possibly be that the end of the more personal artist-to-fan connection that The Artist thought he needed to keep has since been decided as unnecessary, and this could actually be the beginning of phasing that out - that's very speculative at best, but it's a possibility. This One Nite Alone CD set looks like it's going to be the one CD that could really bring Prince back. I've only seen excellent reviews, and this has been happening since The Rainbow Children was released. It might be that he also wants to just take a rest from the seamless and endless upkeep on the npg music club. I dunno. Just speculating on any number of reasons why. In the end, why ask why?

Hmmm, I paid a hundred bucks to join a club, I got seats in the second row for Dallas. I got a Phenonemal cd that covers that set and the after party. I can sit here and be transported back to one of the best meomories in my life. For those folks that are bitching, pleae make your own newsgroup, alt.bitch.mylifesucksandiwantoblamesomeone.
I got much more than my measly (yes people MEASLY, you waste more on dog food!!!) 100 bucks. You know if my contribution helps, I'll buy an extra memebership next year. I got my moneys worth.
