Future Music #91 January 2000 has a reviewof Rave where they give it an 8
out of 10. Also interestingly enough, there's an ongoing debate in the
letters column about Prince using the Linn LM-1 or a different drum
machine...sometime I'll have to find the issue where there were 4 letters
all about it. Anyway on to the review.



"Rave Un2 The Joy Fantastic:He's had a lot of bad press hasn't he?
Whatever his name is, he's always put out quality products (well for 20
years anywya). Admittedly, he's not always consistent, but, hey, we'll
allow him that.
The Greatest Romance Ever Sold is a classic ballad that couldn't have been
penned by another, while Everyday Is A Winding Road is a sublime take on
the Sheryl Crow original. There's a real historical vibe to the album,
too:soul sensibilities collide with out 'n' out rawk throughout; a
veritable 'something for everyone'. Record company disputes and identity
crises aside, this guy, again, jazzily and funkily cements his reputation
as one of the most influential artists of this generation. Amen and all
that."



Wish they would have gone abit more in depth about the actual tracks on
the rest of the album, but he they don't give much spaceto each review.
Bright side its a very positive one.
