U could read ...The most bizarre thing about this descent into workmanship is that he has written a set of songs that he clearly believes has crossover potential. He has funk, a dash of pop, a little bit of rap, and a whole lotta ballads on Rave -- anything that could result in a crossover hit. Unfortunately, it sounds as if he's gunning for the charts instead of enjoying his craft. As such, the album is a disheartening mixture of mediocre material and plastic performances...
