Printable Prince needs to drop asking the audience if it is better to give or recieve because he obviously thinks it is better to recieve. Is he really going to play for 2 and a half hours or more at the first concert and the second? I wouldn't think so. I will never pay twice in one nite.

Ofcourse I assumed it was sent to every Member. Sorry to hear it wasn't sent to all the members... Anyway, you are still in time for the pre-sales! It's a good thing we have the .org to get most of the info, right? peace, newdawn ---

People, people...
if u dont want to pay 100dollar...then don't go... if u think that the NPGMusic club is not giving enough value for its money...then think again...cause i know it is good value. and otherwise...dont extend ur membership. if Prince wanted the money..he could have asked 200 dollar and still easily sold the place out..so stop crying...

Ah! It's good to see that there are still people thinking. I totally agree with you 101 !!!

Won't pay another 200 $ (for my wife and myself) to see him a couple of hours later again . Anyway I have to go to work in the morning and it is still a +2 hours drive back to Belgium But deep in my heart , if I had the time and if money didn't matter ...

well a hundred buxs is quite a lot... but let's face it: remember 1988, part van troje? legendary aftershow 3am in front of few peeps? this is a classic! and probably the most well known aftershow in princes career - and 4 me (was not a live witness, but.. u know) the greatest spontanous jamsession ever heard of prince & the band - 4 such a night i would have paid a hell of money 2 c it live... well, maybe, and there is big hope, history will repeat, 4 100 $ iam pretty shure that it will happen something very special and a nite u will never 4get , also think, candy b with him, the dutch crowd is the best 4 me there is another problem: 2 arrange the journey (not speaking of the money - may cost me 800$ !!! 2 c that show!)it is not that cool, cos if ur coming from a foreign country u need 2 check 4 flights (also rotterdam is no international airport that means u have 2 drive (car/train) 2 amsterdam, another stress and money topic) after 30th!!! and first get the chance 2 get the tixs... so all in all not that easy 4 non dutch peeps... i dunno, still i think this might b a very special one nite alone experience! what do u think ?tell me, and also we have 2 wait and c! i,if in case i can not afford or arrange it, wish all the lucky ones just the best, big pleasure will reach u and enjoy this experience! peaceNbWild! ps. some other swiss fans planning 2 go? please contact me on this, cheers -------------------------------------------------

Hi NPGMC-MEMBERS,
Is there anyone who's willing to sell me their Nighttown tickets, when they are available. Big fam, but not a member so otherwise not a chance I'm afraid... Mail me! hoinehe@hotmail.com Yes, I will pay for the drinks - as a favor - in return! .. Pass the Courvoisier ..
- E-mail - orgNote - Report post to moderator |
Why do we all of a sudden have to pay for an aftershow?
If the fan club members wouldnot buy the tickets which to me is kind of foolish to pay twice in one nite, than maybe he would get the message? How much money does he want? Some of my respect for him has gone out the door with this one.

still i think this might b a very special one nite alone experience! what do u think ?tell me,
well u askt 4 a reply, so i told u what i think. my goal, don't get ure hope up to high 4 a great performance i've seen 4 aftershows in holland and i'm still eating my hart out 4 not being at the paard, he never came close to that magical night again. the reason that the show was cheap and not filled to the top was because it was "an aftershow" and that was something p used to do for fun,no message over the p.a. or a pre sale on the internet. it was a secret gig and if u were a true fan u would find out aboud the gig in time. seems these day's things r more about dollars! p.s. don't get me wrong, i'm not saying u should stay home. if u get the chance 2 see him, do it! if i had a c.c. it would be red hot right now from buying ticks 4 all shows. This is my message to NPGMC to tell them what I feel, I invite all fams who feel the same to get your message accross as well...
Hello NPGMC, I bought myself two concert passes for the show on November 2nd in Ahoy, Rotterdam and now I'm hearing rumours that these concert passes will be useless for the extra concert he will give in Nighttown. No doubt this 2nd concert will be special (they always are in Holland, I know that from my own experience: Utrecht, Tivoli back in 1998 was brilliant and so was Paard van Troje, Den Haag back in 1988) but that's no reason to change the rules and start calling it an extra concert instead of an aftershow. I don't fall for that and I feel cheated and I'm sure a lot of others feel the same. If the second concert is going be that special, I don't mind if prices would be somewhat higher than normal and we would be charged somewhat more for our own ticket (which normally would be free) and the normal (also somewhat higher) price for the second one (for our invitees), but it is ridiculous that members who already have a concert pass should now order once more via the internet, not having a guarantee to get one. I'm afraid a lot of members who bought a 2nd november concertpass will hear this news when it's too late and some of them will be disappointed on the day of the concert! This is not very good business thinking. Please tell Prince and/or his business advisers this and take into account that this will mean that a lot of dutch NPGMC members who maybe will feel a little bit cheated too, will think trice about renewing their membership... Somehow I get the feeling that we are paying the price for still being so much into Prince's music: for example, both concerts in Holland sold out in 20 minutes, The dutch came to the rescue when the Oberhausen concert (Germany) didn't sell out. "So because of this enthousiasm we will be able to charge more and get away with it!", I can easily hear someone think, say or advise. That may seem good business thinking on the short run, but is in fact very poor business thinking in the long run, since it will definitely cost fams. And from an ethical viewpoint I also think it's not a very good idea: it's wrong. It's cheating. Please listen to the fams. And think of a different way to market "the second show that night". There's still time to do so... Regards, Kevwe Scott-Emuakpor a.k.a. mr.funkfunk ...who wants the funk to be with y'all... always (but doesn't feel too funky at this particular moment)

I think the reason(s) is (are) quit simple.
There are to many clubmembers in Holland, so there has to be a limit. In the US you paid $100 for the normal show and maximum price for Europe is about $60. So maybe they never planned to play aftershows. And i remember the tickets for the UK concerts were more expensive than the rest.

There are to many clubmembers in Holland, so there has to be a limit. That, plus half of Europe seems to come this way. I know a lot of people from Holland go to other countries as well, but there the maximum is around 600 people. Here it's double. In the US you paid $100 for the normal show and maximum price for Europe is about $60. Max Europe was $125. Some of $100. And also from $34-39. So maybe they never planned to play aftershows. And i remember the tickets for the UK concerts were more expensive than the rest. He played 3 aftershows, surprisingly enough in the cities where the prices were among the highest.

$100 for the nighttown gig...
on dutch radio the manager/owner of nighttown said that any tickets not bought by members would be for sale in nighttown... i wonder... i'm disappointed that members also have to pay, but of course i'll go there... money don't matter 2night... but i still think that paying $100 a year just to be able to buy very xpensive tix and receiving cds that will also be released in stores is worthless... many fams just can't afford both... i'm just lucky i can... anyway, it's only great P comes to Holland only once in 4 yrs. open an npgmc bankaccount to save ur $ for next time...
