Yahoo Little Red Corvette Ad Just saw on the Yahoo homepage a flash based advertisement for chevy with some lyrics from Little Red Corvette and also Prince's symbol.

saw that whole nearly 2minute commercial on the telly...
started out n black and white with oldies groups, ended n color with Prince doing LRC on SOTT...then pans across the stage out the stage ntrance 2 the LRC parked outside like Prince was gonna b driving that away later... Totally nteresting concept no  n site, and eye wonder will Prince get paid?

Corporate pimps using familiar and positive mental cues such as a favorite rocksong to push their product. Inherently, there is nothing wrong with it in a free capitalistic society. I thought it was a pretty good ad, and I have to admit that I had a hand in starting the domino effect that made it all happen. WHERE IZ MY MONEY! 
Anyway, cars are definately an inspiration and a prominent part of our society. Why shouldn't GM/Chevy market it as an inspiration like Ford markets thiers as an experience? -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-

Why does it matter which song wins? Isn't it just a matter of taste? "Crocodile Rock" and "409" are excellent songs as is "Little Red Corvette". | |
