UPTOWN returns in September with two issues! UPTOWN returns in September with two issues!
Published September 15th 2002: UPTOWN #53 and #54 http://www.uptown.se/2002...3_54.shtml UPTOWN's "then/now" concept is repeated with the publishing of issues #53 and #54. The new issues will be published on 15 September 2002. Issue #55 is scheduled according to plan, 30 November. The "then" issue (#53) contains several articles, including another instalment in the Got 2 Partyup! series, part two of our interview with Chazz Smith, and a detailed list and discussion of Prince's post-Rave Un2 The Joy Fantastic releases. Another article/listing updates some sections of our TURN IT UP 2.0 book. An article comparing Prince to Picasso is also planned for #53. The "now" issue (#54) focuses on the "Xenophobia" event in June 2002 and the One Nite Alone... album. It also contains part two of our One Nite Alone... tour report. Until then, enjoy the summer! Have any of you cats heard about Bjork's six cd set set to drop in October? It sounds similiar, in format, to the seven cd set Prince was supposed to release a couple of years ago.

I lost all respect for Uptown when I was reading through a back issue and found that they had copped a post by a good friend of mine (on the old org) reviewing "Rave In2 the Joy Fantastic" word for word without giving any credit.

I will need to see my friend (as he is the one with the back issue in question) so it may take awhile, but rest assured I will show proof. But really why would I lie about this? | |
