Misinterpretation
The in4mation posted on LAUNCH recently-regarding a new release titled
XENOPHOBIA, is a misinterpretation of the following post:

"imagine the new 7 CD box set XENOPHOBIA arriving at ur doorstep"

I just clicked on the link from Paisley News and BAM! I got chills!! Now I am excited! How bout ya'll?

Chills here too...think of the QUALITY OF SOUND on that cd!

Why excited? NPGMC never said we would actually GET this, they just said we would know the dealio first.. that's all.. don't get your panties in a bunch, it's the NPGMC for chrissakes!

Well, maybe Launch was right.. 3 cd set.. hmm, wonder if it will be the Paramount show as shown in the advert (4/24) or random live tracks.. in any case.. should be interesting... as long as he leaves the tracks truly LIVE.

How can the NPGMC describe the whole Launch article as a misinterpretation of that post?

There's alot more detail in the launch article than could possibly be surmised from that one post.

They take us for fools. Why cant he now just announce what is planned?

sounds more like a leak than a misinterpretation -- that's a WHOLE LOTTA info 2 be pulled out of a 2 line post. hmm...

The "misinterperetation" is merely the title of the set.

This is old news anyway.. They were playing this at Paisley if you guys remember.

Dunno about the extra tracks being Xenophobia tracks but we heard three discs at Paisley...
"One Night Alone Live" - 2 Discs
And that Aftershows disc which was a single disc.

There's your three disc set.

So, we ain't getting Xenophobia I take it.
I thought they said the Xenophobia record woiuld ship to us in August?

Well, I have to admit I'm not that excited after already hearing many bootleg shows from this past tour. Plus, I have a feeling the box set will be a compilation of different shows, rather than just one which would be "purer" IMHO.

But will I buy it if it isn't an NPGMC subscription release? Of course I'll buy it...I'm sure it will have some great music on it with perfect sound quality. I just hope it includes a few of the Celebration tracks and not too much remixing and overdubbing. I think I'll probably end up preferring the 12CD bootleg set to this upcoming muliti-CD release, but that doesn't mean I won't really enjoy the official live album.

Maybe Prince will enjoy releasing this live stuff and then be more open to releasing additional live albums from future tours? I'm sure it's a lot of work for him to mix everything perfectly the way he wants it, but he is so incredible live that it will be nice to have soundboard recordings of some of his recent live jams.

Anyway, it's very cool that he's releasing this stuff and I'm definitely looking forward to it, if not overjoyed.

not 2 excited about a One Nite Alone live set.. or anything like that.. the xeno sounded cool, and the studio sounded real nice (literally, it did, eye've heard it)

so eye'm more down than ups.. but whatever.. bring it on..

It seems he may put alot of "The Hits" on the album. Maybe he'll strike a major distribution deal and it will sell well. He could probably go Gold with proper marketing and promotion. Live videos for MTV would be nice too!!!
