Prince Mention In New Magazine Article Featuring A NPC Member

{{{A Well Established Latino Men's Journal has just published an article written by one of the original founders of The Detroit Crawl and Current Co-founder of NewPowerDetroit.Com. }}}

"Overcoming Obstacles":An Afro-Cuban-Dominican Man Recalls the Challenges He’s Faced in Life as a Mixed Latino.
Tor'Juan {aka- Tor'e X.}

Only 23, has accomplished alot in his short years, All from becoming inspired by "PRINCE" once he was introduced to the mysterious pop enigma in 1984 at a drive inn screening of "Purple Rain" and purchasing his first "PRINCE" Lp in 1988 with his own allowance -The LoveSexy Record, which shaped his way of viewing LIFE, GOD and SEX-uality.

A "PRINCE" Record was his only way of escaping the real world...as a kid; especially "LoveSexy"- It took me places, I'd never been before and it taught me, how to Live my life, without worrying about the thoughts and words that ppl spoke negative of me, it taught me how to accept me for who I truly was.- TorJuan

The Article also Talks about how "Tor'e" overcame ignorance about his mixed heritage that was often brought to his attention by his peers and overcoming the obstacles “No one knew what to think about me, so I was teased constantly. Every day on the school bus, people would call me ‘faggot’ and ‘weirdo’ or 'mutt' simply because I appeared Black, but had straight hair and I was so quiet and didn't fit in.” —Tor'Juan

The Full Length Article In "QV MAGAZINE" will be available On June 15th at your local Borders, Barnes & Nobles, Books-A-Million, hastings and Tower Records.

Jestyr

If this guy is really 23, then he was born in 1979 and was five years old when he was supposedly 'introduced' to Prince in 1984. That's amazing (and dubious) that he would remember that.
