Published Jun 7, 2002 The Blind Boys of Alabama will release "Higher Ground" with covers of various hits in September. The gospel group, now in its 63rd year of performing, interprets Prince's "The Cross," Aretha Franklin's "Spirit in the Dark," Curtis Mayfield's "People Get Ready," and Jimmy Cliff's "Many Rivers To Cross." -- Jon Bream © Bart Van Hemelen

OMG!!! That is incredible!!! I'd LOVE to hear their rendition of the Cross... The Blind Boys have been around in Gospel music a looong time. It'd be interesting to hear their interpretation of this. | |
