CHANHASSEN, Minn. (AP)
Prince is again opening the doors to Paisley Park, this time for a weeklong celebration dubbed "Xenophobia."

Prince and his NPG band will perform every night of the open house, which runs June 21-27. Special guests include Sheila E, Maceo Parker, Musiq and Rachelle Ferrell.

"Xenophobia," which means fear of foreigners, will also include musician workshops, discussions and listening sessions of new Prince music.

NPG Music Club members get first crack at the tickets for $250. Passes for the general public will be available for limited activities. Partial proceeds go to Prince's charity, Love4OneAnother.

Prince turns 44 on June 7.

HIGHRISK

Why am I so damn happy I'm not goin' to this event (a.k.a SHIT!). Xenophobia? Some how that name just freaks me the hell out just like every other thing Prince is doin' nowadays. Wonder what he's gonna talk about this year. I hope for those in attendance he is at least more respectful and shows a lot more humility than what he has in the past. There's nothing wrong, in fact I appauld those who show pride in what they stand for. BUT! This should never be done in such a way where those who do not share those views are made to feel uncomfortable, disrespected, or alienated no matter what the reasons for doing so are. Just my oppinions. Not meant to immpose upon those of others.

HIGHRISK...nobody should be able to make YOU feel
alienated due to THEIR words or actions. Prince is
a human just like you.

YOU know who U are. It's all about SELF-WORTH.

Celebrate that! Don't let anyone make U feel put down.

(try not to put anyone else down either)

$$fam1914 you can just stow this basket of psycho-babble horse-shit! Save it for someone else, why don't you! In terms of having selfesteem, you won't find another S.O.B. on this site with more esteem than me. So take the fastest TRAIN GOING TO HELL--THE HELL EXPRESS! I'M PROVIDING FIRST CLASS TICKETS FOR YA!

My point was this: the key to good communication (which is important for an entertainer) is to find a common language where people don't feel insulted. This means not talking down to people or playing one-upmanship as a means of gaining praise and glory for oneself!

While it is a good thing to be proud of your heritage, ethnic background, and/or religion it is not good to become so immersed in them that you make others who are different feel uncomfortable! (What's so hard about that?)

While it may be fine to use certain religious/ethinic terms while speaking to people of the same group as a form of bonding, it is not appropriate to speak that way when talking to anyone else. It can and has been percieved as alienating and exclusionary. You never want to do this to your audience!

HIGHRISK, you misread me. It's all about positivity. You only hurt yourself when you get all upset like that. Check your blood pressure and stuff.

I'm still cool as a cucumber. What about you?

Anger is very unhealthy.

Peace to you.

BTW, What psychobabble?

The audience where I attended the ONA concert were thrilled
to death. We all had a ball! The music was great!!

Prince has earned the right to say what he wants to
(within reason). Which laws did he break in using his freedom of speech? Mature people are not easily offended
at mere WORDS spoken by others. I am not offended at the profane words you leveled at me...and anyone can see I was only trying to be helpful. But, why did you put $$ in front
of my Fam1914 earlier?

fam1914 it's obvious that you are a sycophanatic Prince follower. That's cool. Fine and dandy. But other audiences were'nt so thrilled. I won't go there. I guess my question is this: IS IT PRAISE FOR GOD THAT PRINCE IS SEEKING, OR PRAISE FOR HIMSELF? Talking about hardcore religious subjects as a means of shocking people into paying attention to himself.--I'll leave this one alone.

cry Wish I could be there. P cancelled his performance here in Cincinnati (for reasons that I totally understand). If I could just win some tickets or something since I can't afford to come there out of my own monetary expense due to a up coming convention that I certainly did plan on attending, blah blah blah.. Everyone that does have the pleasure of attending P's "Open House" ENJOY! lol

$$$Prince has the right to say whatever he wants? This is just a convenient excuse, a smoke screen, for Prince to hide behind in order to use an inappropriate subject to draw attention to himself! What a JOKE. Oh yeah, the dollars signs are back are ya happy?

I'm happy that you seem much calmer, now.

When I say P can say whatever he wants, I mean it's his
show.

When I throw a party, I plan it. I decide what's gonna happen. I even decide if there is going to be a cover
charge, and how much. Then I send out the word to those
who can come. Now it's my party, even though U paid a cover.
If I decide to get up and give a little speech about whatever is on my heart...well, like I said, it's my party.
But I won't lock U in.

I still don't understand why U put $$in front of MY name. They seem appropriate in front of $$$Prince.

I looked up sycophanatic so I could see what kind of Prince follower U say that I am.
The closest word I could find was sycophantic--a fawning self-seeking flatterer; a servile parasite. U can tell
that about me from just what I said in a few lines?

Peace, HIGHRISK

Xenophobia," which means fear of foreigners ... Did you know that anyone who isn't a Jehova Witness is not like them or is considered a foreigner ... they fear that those who are not like them will lead them away ... for a chosen religeon they have little faith ...
maybe they shouldn't have added on to the Bible to suite themselves ...

Looks like the "We are all One" and "Love 4 OneAnother" is now null and void now ?? Unless your part of the JW Club ... Prince seems to like that club thing ... because, in clubs you can have people levels: Inferior, Medeocre and of course Superior ...

This is also commonly known as judging others we are all guilty of this at one time or another ... but club mindsets do this everyday.

Prince made tickets available to the general public for ...Limited Activities. Funny How Many Times our actions speak louder than our words.

I don't hate Prince ... I like him very much, but it angers me to see these things becoming more engrained in him as he becomes older.

God said we should be like children ... children don't do these things.
