"It's hard to remember any artist who has fallen so spectacularly from creative grace than Prince Rogers Nelson. There was a time when his every release was eagerly disembled and picked over like a rare, uncut diamond, but no more. Once again this 18- track collection contains too many bloated studio jamming sessions passing themselves off as songs, but occasionally the purple sun comes out (Hot Wit U, So Far So Pleased, Baby Knows). The lion in his pocket may just be ready to roar again."
