I went to the TARGET Family Day in NYC and Morris Day & the Time performed for an hour. It was free to the public, but I know the TIME got paid the way Jerome kept pluggin' the company name "TARGET". All the usual songs were performed. Jungle Love, 777-9311,
C-O-O-L, Fishnet, The Bird, Oaktree, etc. etc. Jerome appeared like he was on autopilot at first (probably done the same routine 900,000 times in the past 20+ years) but then he got into it. Morris was waving his hankerchief as a prop(Prince influence?). They even had the little kids come on stage during The Bird, but they cursed a little too much and asked one kid if his father was a pimp? Anyway, the ending was good with a schreeching guitar solo(let's go crazy feel to it). I imagine Morris performing these songs even when he is in a nursing home.
