Just saw an ad for the TV show "Rove Live" with a snipett of the Musicology clip, Prince is reffered to as "...music royalty, Prince..."

Rove Live is our very own version of Connan, Letterman or Leno, with an Aussie twist; where the host Rove McManus always gets the best entertainers and musicians on his show, either with live studio interviews/performances or via satelite(as with Prince).

He is a comic (quirky) in his own right and a good interviewer as well. It will be interesting to see how it all unfolds.

The show will be on Channel 10 @ 9:30pm A EST.

Hey thanks Orlando ! Us Aussies Really have 2 keep our eyes & ears open.I'm so happy that we will get a bit of the action. Been a bummer hearing how many Americans have gorged themselves on Prince Media! I reckon it'll be a 'wham bam thankyou mam', type of an interview .Rove's a bit of a Dork Sorry that's a little unfair.Did anyone see David Bowie on Rove ?Was very funny, Bowie took the micky out of Rove a bit !

It went okay. He was pretty relaxed and funny.

Nothing new though. Same old stuff really.

No new Aussie tour plans at the moment though.

Just saw the interview, Rove is a goose, regardless of which person he interviews. Face to face he’s a bit better, but via satellite he has to search for the next big question. It’s a shame we have no ‘late night’ shows in Australia of quality. It was a wasted interview, just passing time. Prince probably got up, shook his head and forgot about it.

he did say that australian audiences are wild. i somehow felt some personal connection when he said that.

I was impressed dat Prince smiled at Rove's thing lol! I was cringin..i thought 'dont' scare him away!!' NOt often he comes to Australia. Before his last tour it was like back 1991 as i recollect!!

I think it would be really hard and somewhat intimidating to interview Prince.

Rove did an ok job, would have been nice to hear some different questions, Prince didn't seem too impressed with his jokes.

I saw the show & all I can say is that Rove made a complete ass of himself. My opinion of Rove has plummeted to a new low. The questions were delivered with not much interest for the man as an artist & the whole lagaphone & Batman jokes were "cringeable". I doubt Prince will ever agree to interviewed by such a "tool" again....I am totally disgusted

wow I'd totally forgotten that P was appearing and then i happened to see him when I was out in a pub and got them 2 turn it up. Rove was a little offensive, as expected and I cringed when he sung the batman theme twice. I enjoyed watching p's reactions though and he laughed a few times, so thats good. Actually the first time I've heard/seen him interviewed

I would have watched it about 20 times by now had I have taped it. Maybe better i didn't. He looked nice in the sunglasses
