They are better than Prince. I expect MORE. Fave album. Fave song. Why do you think Prince wants them back in hi slife so much? Has anyone seen the BBC documentary series called I (L) 1970 to I (L) 1999? Prince was a topic in the I (L) 1985 episode and it had W&L in it! They gave comments, describing that they now think their outfits were really silly, but that was okay becuz it was for Prince. But also that they think that he still got his best years ahead of him. They are really kewl...

Before this thread can slide to the next page and I can't see it anymore, I have 2 things to say. One is a question --- the other is food for thought.
First: Has anyone seen the "Snoops" episode called Swan's Chant? This is Wendy's first complex acting role. She plays a musician hooked on heroine. I was wondering what all the other Wendy fans think about her ability. I also wanted to let others know (who have not seen it) that there are 2 music shots that are worth seeing. Wendy and Gina Gerson perform video type shots of two songs. "Perfect Stranger" is full of energy and shows Wendy in a very different light than what we are used to. "These Boots Are Made for Walking" has so much sex appeal, that it leaves you wide-eyed and jaw dropped for hours. I also like Wendy's "Elvis' Comeback Special" leather outfit. Second: I can't believe that people are still comparing Wendy and Lisa to Prince. Really folks, it is like comparing apples to oranges. Face it..."The Revolution" worked because, at the time, their styles meshed macically. If Wendy and Lisa and Prince were to combine their talents today, I am afraid that we would all be disappointed. They have gone off in such different directions. Their styles would no longer compliment each other. I don't believe (and I am a Wendy and Lisa fan) that it is fair to say that Wendy and Lisa are better than Prince. It really all depends upon which style you perfer. I personally do not like "Speed Metal" or "Rap". But I would never say that "R&B" is better than "Rap". Both have their strenghts and weaknesses. I can say that I like Wendy and Lisa better than Prince (Oppinion) or that I like R&B better than Rap (Oppinion). But to say that one is better than the other turns it into a factual statement that must be backed up by facts. And when it comes to music or art, money is usually the factor on which success is based on. Clearly, Prince would win that fight because he is concerned with being commercial and making all the money. So you see, it is all a matter of oppinion. ___ ____________________

Hmmm...probably because it cannot be easily twisted into a selling tool for cars, athletic shoes, or soda. Sad, but probably true considering the state of the music business these days

I think Wendy did a wonderful job and the sexual tention between her and Gina was beyond hot. I think she did a very good job considering the Snoops show was kind of a cheesy show, but the music on a weekly basis was worth tuning in for. And it just figures that the ONE episode that didn't air was the one that featured Wendy, and I love the end when she autographs a copy of Girl Bros. for the detectives. As far as the Wendy, Lisa and Prince thing goes. I do believe we will see the day that they work together again, but I can't imagine it being too soon considering Prince's JW beliefs right now. I can just see Wendy at the first rehearsal filling up the Curse Jar at Paisley within the first hour.

dont blame the JW faith...My grandmother is a JW and we just had a conversation this weekend over homosexuality...She straight out said, "who cares...its nobody's busines." So, if Prince doesnt get together with them..its his slant/bent perception of the religion *or* his own crazy issues...

Everlast (aka..Energizer Bunny)...did you notice that Lisa is at the end of that episode. She is in her usual "black turtle-neck and blue jeans". Look after they go outside while singing "These Boots"...she is in the cast! ____________________

I just meant ALL the other things Prince has been talking about lately. I don't know how many times we heard about "what's God's name?" at the Celebration this year and at the first Celebration stuff like "stop celebrating birthdays." That's all I meant, I wasn't trying to insult the JW faith.

I thought that was her too, it turns out that it's not. It does look a lot like her though. You are kidding...right? How could you miss that smile? That is what gives it away. Also, do you notice any similarities between that shot and the way she looks during the show in CA? They were both shot in the same week. I am telling you it is Lisa. A source told me to look for her...(actually a crew member from the "Snoops" show)...everybody from the cast and crew was included, because it was the last episode. It was the farewell shot. And, Wendy insisted that Lisa be in the shot..although Lisa was reluctant. ____________________
