Did they have an affaire or not?

According to the book, "Possessed" by Alex Hahn..they were on again off again from the time he discovered her to the time she departed after Sign o The Time. He claims that she was in love with him and that Sheile E and Kat Dyson often battled for his affection.

Yes, it was Cat.

Supposedly Sheila and Prince got romantically involved during the Purple Rain tour in '84/'85 while Prince and Susannah had broken up.

Prince and Susannah got back together in '85. She left in december '86. After that, Sheila and Cat supposedly fought for his attention.

They both left when Anna Garcia entered the picture and was invited to Minneapolis in late '88/early '89. Possibly because they didn't appreciate this new rival for his affections, who knows?

Yes,they were together back in the 80's.Just listen to "Sister Fate".I saw Sheila do an interview back then,and some1 asked if it was true.She answered,"it's in the video".
Also,I think it was Arsenio that asked her in an interview 1 time,"How come you never married Prince?"To which she replied,"how come Prince never married me".Lol.
But yes,the rumors were true,yes they were once an item.Now,I believe its only about friendship though.

and she did make that comment on the Arsenio Hall show.

Saw Sheila on Soul Train performing "Sister Fate" and Don asked her flat out if she was dating Prince and if the song was about him and she said yes. Also saw her on Aresnio where she confirmed a one time romance. But the funny thing is, both times I heard her confirm this, I thought it was all about publicity.

And although I don't think it is a bad thing and I'm not trying to dis Sheila in any way, I kinda always thought she was possibly lesbian.

Also I may be totally off here, but on Rave unto the Joy Fantastic, on the song, "I love you but I don't trust you", didn't Prince say he would, "Never pick the flower of his favorite protege'"?

Here's what I think.. Prince constantly cheated on Mayte. She smartened up and while in Spain decided to go get some for herself. Who knows if she did, but Prince took this opportunity to write all these songs accusing her of cheating ... can u say DENIAL?! I wonder what Mayte thinks about all those songs.. Remember, she was only 18 when she got involved with him, he was like 35! Whatever... I'm done my ranting tonight. Promise.
