Come on, kiss the gun...

How fucking much do i love this song! I'm listening to Sex Shooter (as if you haven't figured that out yet) and I just remember seeing the video for the first time on Night Flight back in the day. So bad, so nasty, so sexy! I loved these bitches.

I've often wondered if this was a subliminal cry for someone attempting suicide. hmmm

I'd love to see that video again -- I love when Apples is yelling at her man on the phone --

starts calmly

"That's the third night this week...

quickly grows pissed and rants en espanol

"...mi ropa y mi bicicleta y nunca me las deveulvan! damn musician!"
let me come over it's a beautiful day to play with you in the dark

When the Apollonia 6 album came out in the fall of '84,there were rumors that they were gonna film videos for EVERY song on the album. It's a shame that "Blue Limousine"---arguably the best track on the album---wasn't released as a single with a great video.

The Vanity version IS better than the Apollonia version, imo.I love the way Vanity concludes the song...

"New York...I want you to count to eight
As soon as I get undressed,y'all clap your hands, okay?"

That part is cool. And Vanity's version is great. But overall, I prefer Apollonia's. Generally, I opt for the original. And while Vanity's was recorded first, I heard and loved Apollonia's LOOONG before Vanity's. And I think it suits the Apollonia personality better. This woman is a slave to her lover, not one who's gonna say, "Wake me when u're done!"

LOL...yeah,I remember when the A6 album came out,Brenda was quoted as saying that it wasn't as sexual as the previous album..."You don't hear a "Wet Dreams",you don't hear "I need seven inches or more" on the new album".As you pointed out,Apollonia's persona was a little more wholesome than Vanity's.Could you imagine if Prince had asked Apples to sing something really raunchy like "Vibrator"? LOL

But personally speaking,I prefer sexually aggresive and demanding women.I love Vanity's tough-as-nails sexual persona on that V6 album...lol...she really puts a man in his place, doesn't she?
