Yes, nice compilation, but a pity that they didn't include the Jesse Johnson collaboration "Shockwave" (b-side to Eternity). Then I would have bought the set!

If only there was some kind of clue as to why in the original announcement, the one I quoted in the thread I started (and which is linked in the third post of this thread). It starts with this sentence:

.

Sheena Easton’s first-ever collection of every UK and US single A-side from her hugely successful EMI era

.

Also, there's this: https://www.discogs.com/r...ut-A-Heart

.

And Cherry Pop have done expanded and remastered reissues of Sheena Easton albums in the past -- e.g. https://www.discogs.com/r...over-In-Me -- so presumably those will come in due time.

@Bart, what you wrote is not logical. You point out that fact that the announcement explains why the song isn't present, as though you're contradicting or belitting @jazzz, or putting him in his place. But the fact that the announcments explains why the song wasn't included, doess not mean @jazzz can't be disappointed about it.

You can be disappointed that a vegetarian restaurant doesn't offer you a meal that includes meat, but that's all up to you. And it isn't a reasonable reason to be disappointed.

Bart, you are not being logical.

If a person choses to go to an established vegeterian restaurant, of course they should not expect meat. It would be ridiculous for them to be disappointed. But that is not analogous to what happened here.

This is akin to a new restaurant opening down the street from your home and announcing it will serve only a vegetarian menu. There's no reason the restaurant had to be vegetarain (that's simply the direction the owner/chef wanted to go). And there's no reason you, as its neighbor, would have known in advance that it would vegetarian. Therefore, it would totally reasonable to say: "I'm disappointed the new restaurant opening on block is vegetarian. When I heard a new restaurant was openning I really hoped it would serve steak."

You are bold enough to ridicule and belittle people for their mistakes. Are you humble enough to admit when you're wrong and apologize?

I guess you don't understand the rules of logic. I would have bought the set IF it included that particular b-side, und thus IF the concept of the set had been something like "singles, b-sides and remixes". However, since that is not the case, I rather not buy it. As for the previous cd-reissue that includes the song "Shockwave", that cd is out of print and only sells for very high prices.

Thanks for the support, lurker316!

I guess most of us here still enjoy all the great music that came out of MPLS, and visit this place to find some like-minded people to share that common appreciation and have an enjoyable and inspiring conversation. Except for one particular individual, who lost his love for this music a long time ago (if he ever had it at all), and is only here to annoy and belittle the others. It is easy to "win" every discussion by coughing up a bunch of facts (which we can indeed find ourselves as well by using google, as per his repeated advice), but it is much harder to maintain an empathic and interactive conversation. In intellectually advanced human interaction, there is a justification for doubt, controversy, figurative use of language, contrasting viewpoints, etc.. But clearly not in the perspective of this all-knowing wiseacre. He is not able to comprehend these essential aspects of human dialogue. I wonder if he finds some therapeutic benefit from his rigid, restricted and bitter way of interacting. Probably not, since the behaviour hasn't changed for the better over the years. At least, it is to be hoped that he gets a tiny moment of happiness from each of his posts here...
