Cat Glover's Reaction to Prince Documentary - Netflix

Source: Facebook

I have been f**led over by the people making documentary for Netflix !!!!! I love Prince and I am not going to exploit Prince and I won’t be part of this s**t!! For real 1f47f.png1f47f.png1f47f.png1f621.png1f621.png1f621.png1f621.png They asked me personal inappropriate questions about Prince’s death !!!! WTF. !!!! This documentary is so disrespectful to Prince and his legacy!!!! I’m
not bashing The Estate they have been helpful and respectful but they need to stop this documentary for real. I’m trying to hold this in but I’m hurt!!! I’m angry !!!!! This is not a documentary honouring Prince this is a documentary to trash him and his legacy and I’m not letting that happen !!!!!! What kind of serious documentary honouring his life and legacy asks the following questions ....
Did you know what the song sister was about , Prince f**king his Sister ?
Do you think Prince was murdered ?
Did you know about any drugs ?
Does that sound like a respectful documentary!!!!! Hell no!!!!!! Have they asked anyone else involved questions like that. ?????
Sounds like TMZ trash right there. Then they put a contract in my hand expecting me to sign all my rights off and no pay so they can use the footage .1f621.png1f621.png1f621.png1f621.png1f621.png1f621.png well I didn’t sign shit. !!!!!
I do not authorise any use of anything that they filmed or asked. I have not signed any consent to do so either !!!!!
I’m so hurt and angry right now. 1f621.png1f621.png1f621.png1f621.png1f621.pngThey are the devil 1f479.png1f479.png1f479.png1f479.png1f479.png1f479.png!!!!!!!!!
The documentary from this Tamara is wack !!!!! Again the estate have been excellent but they need to get on this !!!!!
Me and my business manager are truly disgusted for real. !!!!!

Ohh purple joy oh purple bliss oh purple rapture!

jesus....but....didn't she like....have a post two years ago or more on fb in which she claimed that prince has been murdered? I mean, I think I remember a post on fb where she talked about her apartment burning and the same people who killed prince are coming for her? Maybe a radio show or something? I swear I distinctly remember her saying or hinting that he was murdered.

found something on the forum and she totally entertained the murder theory in a radio show. so, why would she be upset if someone asked her if she thinks he was murdered, if she, herself entertained this very theory three years ago? Make it make sense! lol

also, will the netflix docu feature interviews from associates? i thought they wanted to make a documentary in his own words, with material from the vault?

Why is “Sticky: CAT GLOVER -- Official: Question and Answer [Please Read Before Posting a Question]” still at the top? No activity since 2017.

It’s really sad how she conducts herself. Someone please buy her grammarly.

Reports I am reading from those in & around the production thus far suggest it's going to be a fantastic piece of work & NOT a hit job. Each person will have a different expereince I guess?

Probably best for the director of the Documentary to keep some distance from her.

They were very respectful according to Jill.

Yesterday I had a great day filming a piece for the upcoming Netflix Prince Documentary. The team couldn't have been more respectful and thorough with questions. It appears they really have done their homework and even addressed me on some of my past posts and quotes about working for Prince. I got a chance to clarify and even reflect on so many things.
All in all, I feel this is a wonderful way for each and every person affiliated with Prince to share "their story" with the man and "their experience". As I always say, nothing would have been the same and nothing would have been created on this journey with one person absent from the picture, nor one person more; Everyone had their role.
It's certainly a daunting task for an outsider, however, I feel that when all the pieces come together, there will be a puzzle that seamlessly fills in the gaps and provides some insight into how Prince moved through this earth while he was here. As well as the many, many characters that moved alongside at various points of his lifetime. I hope so.
Karmically, I feel that he intended to live life to the fullest as he had no intention of coming back and repeating this one. He really went for it. And everyone as an affiliate, collaborator, friend, family member, associate, lover, and even the fans, helped him to do it.
I wish to bestow only good vibes for a story that must be told and to bring honesty, love, and peace to the pretty remarkable life he did live. I also hope that it brings closure for some.I also feel that this documentary might allow us to look deeply into our own personal perceptions and recognize it's the source. I can say that yesterday, I did experience an epiphany and it has been quite healing.
So I want to thank the team and wish everyone involved my very best

If Cat doesn't sign or authorize, will her name and influence be left out of the Doc?

Most likely.

Why would they include an uncooperative associate?

I think they have the right to use anything they want to, and Cat can't do anything about it legally, she doesn't own the rights to anything associated with Prince.

Everything I'm hearing, it's supposed to be a fantastic doc!! I can't wait to see it.

Jill seems happy. Sounds like it will be done well.

I think the documentarian, Ezra Edelman, is the son of well-respected Marian Wright Edelman, who started the Children's Defense Fund.

Don't think "just a dancer" captures the value of dance in that world.

Of course songwriting, arranging, singing, playing, sound engineering, etc. were first and foremost, but that doesn't mean other things weren't very big in making that world what it was.

Dance was big. Movies, large and small, were big. Stagecraft was big. Visual art was big. All very significant.

Who cares about Cat. How long did she work with Prince anyway? Plus it seems like she has some mental health issues she needs to deal with.

How dare they ask Cat about drugs in relation to Prince? It's not like she got some ecstacy pills from Anthony Kiedis and gave them to Prince leading to the Black Album being canceled or anything!

.

cool

Yes, she also directed/choreographed the U Got the Look video and the Lovesexy tour

She was very crucial to the SOTT live era, the Black album and the Lovesexy period. Not to mention she has lots of information on the creation of Graffiti Bridge

Cat is a NewBreed, and a long time fan of Prince's as well

Thanks for response, and clarifying about dance. : )

As far as the way Cat speaks about contributing, I don't get the issue. There is often a very negative reaction to associates speaking of contributions to purple-world art, and I just don't get it.

She has every right to be bothered by this problematic and stupid questions. Why even ask her about SISTER?

Did you know what the song sister was about , Prince f**king his Sister ?

Do you think Prince was murdered ?

Did you know about any drugs ?

Does that sound like a respectful documentary!!!!! Hell no!!!!!!

Since Cat seems to be upset about the doc, perhaps they will showcase her talents using video footage.
