do you agree? i believe Prince did say that to Dez but i dont think Prince really meant it

I don't know about that, but having recently listened/watched a lot of Prince concerts from 1981-1983, Dez is clearly a talented guy and added a lot to the sound Prince was working on. I love listening to the guitar ending to 'Dirty Mind' from the 1999 Tour. So good!

u know that Dirty Mind ending on 1999 tour is Prince soloing not Dez

hell no lol if and that's a big IF, Prince really said that it was probably only to light some fire under Dez as encouragement to nail the LRC solo; which he did

Really surprised Prince would say that or admit that if he believed it. Wasn't he really insecure about Jesse being better than him?

Dez and P's guitar playing complimented one another, but their styles were totally different.

It would have been nice 2 hear a Prince/Dez/Jesse Shredding Session!!
