We get it--you're convinced that Mayte was the love of Prince's life and nothing will convince you otherwise. Now, enough already...

The lyrics to the song ate also the mural Prince and Mayte had painted on the headboard of their bed in Spain. It is a painting of the couple walking hand in hand in the desert toward the pyramids in Egypt. The song’s lyrics mention dancing with Royalty. Prince and Mayte not only performed for royalty in Monaco but they also partied with Prince Charles. Sea of Everything - the very first line he sings about seeing her photos in magazines. I can pull up a boat load of magazine shoots and professional pics Mayte Garcia did after her divorce from Prince. Some of them were done by his very own personal photographer. The Dance — who would think a song about dancing was about his second wife? The song was written about Mayte Garcia. I’m surprised you couldn’t figure out TicTacToe was about Mayte. The dolphins at the end of the song should give it away. But even if you’re not up on Prince and Mayte’s connection to dolphins there are the lyrics of the song. Even Mayte Garcia knew the song was about her because she quotes it in her book. Not only the dolphins but he sings about a “balletina”. The Dance: sometimes things aren’t literal. Just presenting a few other views here. There were a number of women who were inspirations to Prince and each connection was somewhat different while many things were the same.

I was thinking that there were some photos of him with Mani in the memorial program that she and Mayte put together. I liked Prince and Mayte together as well but to me,it seemed that he moved on to other women although he did seem to have a place for her in his heart and from what some close to him have said, still talked about her from time to time. I'm reminded of what Kevin Smith said about visiting Paisley Park to film the documentary and telling Prince he should add 7 to the setlist and he repied that he didn't want to play the song because Mayte wasn't there to dance.

I’m talking about the funeral program put together by his family. You’d expect pictures of Mayte and M2 in the memorial program of an event Mayte and M2 put together. But it speaks volumes she, along with his mother, were the only women picture in his actual funeral program. [Edited 1/23/19 10:59am]

Tic Tac Toe was recorded in February 2014 and it isn’t a kind song necessarily. It talks about “borderline” and secrets better left untold and someone’s hair being stripped or having another color added and Uncle Leo trying to keep up. Wasn’t Uncle Leo Prince’s hairdresser from way back when? Gosh knows who that one was about.

The song is about Mayte. He’s bidding farewell to the balletina. The same balletina he sings got him high. The same high he sings about in Friend, Lover, Sister, Mother, Wife. Uncle Leo is a character from a TV show. Metaphor. [Edited 1/23/19 11:55am]

I'm tired of all women fanatics. The truth is that only the man himself knew the answer and he can't give it anymore, and I doubt that he would've told us, since it's none of our business, really. But I also think, that there was no place for only one woman in his life, tho I believe that Denise and Mayte both came close to be what he might have called his soulmate(s). Just my opinion. I agree. To be honest, I don't think Prince was a one woman type of man..i don't think it was in him really...he was way too restless and always searching...i do think Vanity and Mayte were special to him but it sounds like both those relationships were also unhealthy/abusive but I think they both touched his heart...which was rare for him...they got to deep places inside him ...but I'm sure he was fond of many, many women...but he was a rolling stone.

Music. Music was the true love of his life. From the start until the end. There was never any human who came before that. It's ok to like her, but to say she was his soulmate and all these songs after he annulled their marriage is laughable. He divorced Mani, meaning he accepted the time they were together as husband and wife. He annulled his marriage to Mayte mraning as if they were NEVER married. Why she accepted that and not a divorce, I don't understand. Maybe she was hoping she'd get him back? She's been very open she would have taken him back. Prince knew lots of women. Im sure many were ballentina's. Mayte considers herself a belly dancer, so I don't believe ballentina was a reference to M1. I think so many want to believe that, but the fact remains he spoke of Denise Matthews at his concert, said he loved her and dedicated the rest of his concert to her. He tried to get her back in 1995 after Denise married. He was even dating Mayte at that time, but trying to get back with Denise. I believe he was at the place in life and ready to have a family. Denise refused to take him back, so he tried to make a life and family with M1. Then he thought it wasn't meant to be after they lost the 1st child and another miscarriage. Then he sends her alone to Spain so he can pursue a relationship with M2 who looks like Denise. I've always believed Purple Rain was written about Denise. The movie was about his music and their relationship. I don't think he ever got over her and wanted more with her. But it was too late. He dies just months after she passed and told others close in his circle his time here was done. If he wanted M1 back, he would have pursued her, but he didn't and he annulled the marriage like it never even happened or meant anything to him. You don't do that if the person is the love of your life! Period. Think about it, if he was still in love with her he would have went after her. His actions prove he considered it a closed chapter in his life and banned her from Paisley Park. All along she still loves him grieving outside the gate with fans after his death. C'mon, he used her to get a family and that didn't work. He said bye bye forever and never had anything to do with her again. M2 he admitted he didn't want the divorce. Probably because she looked so much like Denise. Vanity was the love of his life. Dint forget he had a relationship with Carmen Electra also who's a dancer and she has a hand written note from P she's posted calling her "The Most Beautiful Girl In The World" before M1 claimed the song was about her. He was a player, he probably told many women it was about them. He was a casinova.

He played mind games with her, cheated on her and left her to grieve by herself after they lost their child. How cold is that? That's not grieving, that's flat out wrong and emotionally abusive. There is this misconception that he annulled his marriage with Mayte. NO.HE.DIDN'T. and not legally. He put on this big show for the public, with fake paperwork to make it look like he was anulling it. He and Mayte actually got a divorce, just like P and M2 did.

She wasn’t banned from Paisley Park either. You’re like all the rest, you pick up on a rumor and repeat it without looking into it for yourself. If she was banned, she wouldn’t have been there for his funeral and several times since then.

I am a man . Every man is different. To call Vanity the love of his life, when he was with her for 2yrs, while seeing other women, is not respectful to that dream of having a love of your life. Doesn't mean she wasn't an electric muse and lover. It's a romantic term, but Romance is subjective and the meaning ever changing according to the person and situation. . I've had a few great loves. I never thought of them as 'the love of my life' Passion for Artists is something huge. Most do not sacrifice the passion. . women came and went, his passion for music and even other musicians was constant.

And if you can read at all, you can obviously read my message above. This is a forum. No need for paragraph format. Just because P said wonderful things about Mayte during their courtship, doesn't mean he felt that way forever. Love P for his musical talent and he was a musical genius. But he was in fact a mind manipulator when it came to women. As far as "The Most Beautiful Girl In The World" song was inspired by Carmen Electra first. She has PROOF in a handwritten note posted on her IG acct. Go check it out. Then he switched it to Mayte after Carmen cheated on him and left him heartbroken. He took her to his place and played "I love you, but I hate you" song to Carmen letting her know it was over. Then came Mayte and he cast her in the video, probably as a dig to get at Carmen Electra. Once he ANNULED his marriage to Mayte, which some claim wasn't a legit marriage because he shouldn't have been able to Annul it. It should have been a divorce, not an annulment. That means "it never happened". She wanted him back, he didn't want her back. He referenced her as a clinger that wouldn't go away to some of his circle. Then she saw him out several yrs later and stated when she approached him and told him she forgave him, he looked at her like she had 3 heads. He was horrible to her after she couldn't give him children. He still spoke to Denise every so often up until her death. And yes, out of all the women they were the best looking couple. You could see the love and chemistry in several photos. He would have done anything to have gotten Denise back even in 1995 when he was dating Mayte. But Denise is the one who chose to not go back to him. I could care less what's on his funeral program. Prince had no say in what was printed. He didn't leave a will, so I'm sure he didnt leave a copy of his funeral program to be distributed. And it was made by Mani and Mayte. So of course their pics would be in it. Lol Common sense isn't so common. And btw Rasbery Beret was written for Apollonia. It's rumored they had a relationship during Purple Reign era. Still wonder if the rumor was true he had aids that he contracted HIV in the early 90's. If that's true, he could have infected many ladies who will probably never say. The rumor P went off his HIV meds because he believed God would heal him sounds like something extreme he would do to honor his faith. His sister Tyka even referenced it being true and she knew he didn't have long to live. Reports say he had gf's the last few yrs of his life, but remained abstanant. That mazkes sense. The claims before he died that he was suffering from the flu was a stretch for anyone who has common sense. And a pharmacy worker rumored P used to pickup HIV meds at their pharmacy. Bottom line he was a player and musical genius. That's what we need to remember him for. His love life is kinda irrelevant there were so many.

The only one he kept in contact with was Vanity. They were in contact up to, at least 2012.

There was a divorce between Prince & Mayte. So stop saying there wasn't. They each had lawyers. Mayte even tells us this in HER book.

Didn't you read Pennys comment? He did not annul the marriage. Prince and Mayte got a divorce. And you say his love life is kinda irrelevant but it was you who started this thread, claiming that Denise was the love of his life, it's just your opinion, not a known fact, only Prince could know it for sure who it really was. Yes he kept in touch with Denise, but that doesn't mean she was his soulmate, could be that they were just best friends, ever thought of that? Maybe he didn't keep in touch with Mayte because the past with her was too painful for him, and Mani? I don't know about that.....she divorced him, maybe that hurt him too.
So if his love life is so irrelevant, why do you feel the need to discuss it?
