I saw part of the video ONCE, never saw the whole thing

It's a cool video, very colorful with Cat choreographing the dance moves. Cat and Sheila E are the only ones in it dancing. Oh and there are these psychadelic kids painted in flourescent colors.

The video was filmed at Paisley Park sometime in early 1987. Sheila's hair is all Sign O The TImes style with braids and she's wearing glasses. Cat seems very mysterious, she's never focused in on but she's wearing Prince's gold square glasses from the era.

In the latest Miles Davis DVD, Miles is interviewed and mentions this video and how much he likes it several times. Miles was a big Prince fan.

I've only heard it, as well as seen it once. That was when it came out in '87. Seeing as how it was my duty to worship Prince and all his loyal subjects, I naturally liked it. All I can remember about the video was seeing Sheila with her shades on (fine as usual) and the Sistine chapel-looking background.

Liked the video and the song grew on me. I actually remember the premier of the video on BET. They actually went to Sheila's parents home on Oakland and premiered it to her family (Sheila was with Prince at the time and couldn't make it home). I remember her parents and 2 of her siblings in the room smiling as it premiered. I remember the girl looked so much like Sheila it was amazing. Actually if I'm not mistaken, there were 2 girls in the room and Juan.

Oh well, I still have the video itself on vhs. Unfortuantely I wasn't recording at the time they went to her parents home.

This is a cool song and the video is great,but I don't think it should have been a single.There were much stronger tracks on the album.These four songs should have been the singles...

"Hold Me"
"Faded Photographs"
"The Pride And The Passion"
"Love On A Blue Train"

Agreed.The problem was,by the time "Koo Koo" was released as a single,Sheila had already joined Prince's band and promotion on her album ceased.Such a shame because that is her best album and it deserved much more support.

The video is SOOO 1987!

I never really liked it until I saw the video, and now I love it.
