Prince and Manuela why didn’t they start a family?

Mayte said Prince desperately wanted a child and when she lost the second baby he stopped talking to her and eventually their relationship fell
Apart. So then why didn’t he and Manuela try or start a family? Does anyone know? Not sure if it’s already been discussed?

I don’t think he stopped talking M1. I think he felt that because this happened twice and was more pain than he could handle, that their relationship wasn’t meant to be.
There about a zillion threads on Prince and children and what people believe if you want to look them up.

You should probably read Mayte’s book if you’re still reading tabloid reports of Prince not speaking to Mayte anymore after she miscarried.

There was no announcement by Prince on Tom Joyner’s show. Mani was never pregnant by Prince. If she was, believe me, you’d know about it by now.

THIS. Gheezus, the story is out there. Spend the $17 and buy the goddamn book instead of presuming he just moved into another bedroom and literally stop communicating with her at all. That would make Prince a real asshole.

This isn't the 1st time I'm reading about her apartment in 2003. Do you know the reason why she would have? I can't remember of any.



I’ve never heard. They hadn’t even been married two years at that point. I read comments on Facebook recently where someone also assumed she had her own place/apartment at the time she came over to the Galpin street home to discover she’d been locked out. Things weren’t what they appeared to be.

They were done in 2004. The public appearance during awards season (the Oscars) of early 2005 was for show only.

I thought they were done in 2003 but tganks for the info. Why did Prince worry about the image in 2005. He could have had anyone on his arm.

I have no 100% info on that but from what I know it was due to the Jehovah's witness doctrine. The same reason why Manuela was the one to file for divorce, not Prince. It was a technicality and since she wasn't in on it for real to begin with, it was easier for her to file as divorce according to JW is a BIG no-no.

At least 2004. His lawyer says that’s when he first consulted with him regarding a divorce.

When was that Much Music interview? I know it was definitely 2004. Prince mentions his wife and her family.

There's one award show where the two of them are in the audience and Prince is straight up ignoring the hell out of her. She appears to be asking him something and he's mouthing No!.....I saw that and I said yeah...not to much longer as a couple!!!

1) I'd agree she was a golddigger.

2) I believe Prince was probably fearful of losing children again. Remember, Mayte went through at least two pregnancies that ended very badly. It's crushing for anyone. As magical as we'd like to think Prince is, he's still just an ordinary human inside like the rest of us whose emotions are raw and real.

Nobody really knows why they didn't start a family. Maybe the time wasn't right for either of them? It's as good a guess as any others.

Mani probably asked to go. It was the only way she'd get anywhere near the Oscars.
