I'm not going to lie, when I saw the picture of the group I got kind of excited. I thought "Oh, this group looks interesting. Maybe they'll sound like Soul II Soul". LOL, then I read the article. Who does he think would be interested in purchasing an entire album of Prince songs being sang by someone other than Prince? Surely no Prince fan would buy the music; and anybody with a brain would know that non-Prince fans would not shell out money to hear a cover band. Just skip the freaking covers and make the first project their own original songs.

(A quote from the Bible).This is the epitome of success in God's Eye. P wanted this for everyone. Despite any attacks, disagreements & even acts of hatred against him, he continued on as the Soldier King he was birthed to be.
What he despised most was the mob -like mentality attacks that were Never productive. Only venomous. Such a testament to his strength and determination.. Many of u that participated in such attacks are probably the 1st to testify the Eternal Love for him.
If U Truly knew his Spiritual purpose, U would not be launching attacks against his blood family who have Every right , moreso than Anyone else active in continuing or "capitalizing" from the Successful Prince legacy.
Tell me...Who IS the Judge here? WHO is even the Jury? Prince resides in the Spirit world. A realm that inhabit God's creatures.
For those that are upset with our male lead who has had success as a Prince music performer should realize that Prince also associated himself with this performer while here on Planet Earth. So what makes U feel it ok to speak in a derogatory manner to or about him? Do U think Prince would approve of your actions against him and his youngest blood brother that he told to carry on with his legacy and fight the good fight in his name?
Prince told me many times that he loved Me for my honesty, strength, fearlessness, passionate love for all mankind. He asked me more than once to represent him the artist and Paisley Park. The latter was stated in front of New Power Generation members in a round table meeting at Paisley. Though flattering I declined the positions as I did any romantic involvement with my dear friend.
In time his words to me were " I know that U Truly love me." I was Always compelled to show Prince Rogers Nelson Agape Love.
I will continue to do so. All that truly have love in their hearts for 1 another will show it with brotherly and sisterly love. Remember.. God lives inside of us all. We have a piece of His DNA, so U must love Self in order to Love anyone else.

That is an absolutely irritating post.

I don't know this woman or that impersonater, or Prince or any of these folks, and I do think personal attacks that have nothing to do with people's actions are off base. But is she kidding? No one should speak out against any one of his associates or people he chose to hang with because he wouldn't want that due to his strong faith in love etc???? Really, so if someone decides to spit on his legacy and make him look like a caricature, fans are not allowed to be disgusted? To be honest, I am not angry at the lead singer dude (I sincerely keep forgetting his name). I hate the look he was going for and I dislike his profession but I doubt he means any harm. ITs a job to him. He has no personal obligation to Prince. Its his brother and to a lesser extent, Marva who irritate the fvck out of me here. Marva wanted the band to begin with and Omarr agreed to it. She says they knew him so no decisions they make in regards to him should be criticized. She tries to pull a guilt trip on fans here and then even tried to self aggrandize herself by saying that Prince thought she was the cat's meow and tried to date her...Really lady? Even if all that stuff were true, this ain't fucking about her. It would be more about her if she were doing original work. But if one choses to do Prince covers, it is still about Prince and his legacy. She assumes that P being up in heaven means he wouldn't care about his legacy. How the fvck would she or anyone else know what P cares or doesn't care about... All we can go by is what is good for legacy...and in terms of his legacy, this choice looks pretty ridiculous. Impersonators ruined Elvis Presley's image for a really long time by making him look like a lounge show caricature..Is that what they want for Prince? Impersonaters are fine for comedy or for small markets like Vegas, but recorded music with an impersonator looks like a commerical attempt to replace the original (like a bunch of Eve Ardens) I also sincerly dislike the preachiness of his post. I wonder if she was praying for P when he was lying alone fixating on popping a pill at 2 am on April 21, 2016.

For all means, defend your decision, Marva, and speak out against truely hateful speech but don't think you or anyone else in prince's purple army or family are above approach just because you were lucky enough to be in Prince's circle. There are lots of talented people out there.
