I bet he wouldn't have let his sister's use Paisley Park, to do this project.

Kudos to Sharon for getting this project done. The single is very nice and I look forward to the album. Prince, in you I found a kindred spirit...Rest In Paradise.

Excuse me for not being up on the terminology… but since John L’s estate was settled long ago, who owns the rights to the songs and the proceeds from these songs (publishing, writing, etc). Just Sharon? All sibs? Someone please explain the revenue breakdown. Thanks. DD55

Keep Calm & Listen To Prince

I think he would have been very excited for his sister Sharon to be honoring their father in this way.

Then why did Prince never use his resources to initiate such a project in his lifetime or ever work musically with either Sharon or Tyka?
You think he was just short of time?

It's clear from Londell's twitter that he's behind this release and is promoting it. I only hope he's now kept as far away from Prince's music and legacy as possible. I don't give a shit what he did in '96, his intention to keep his fee following the failed UMG deal (which he screwed up) is all I need know about his character.

Once again, your assumptions, interpretations, opinion, and speculations are nothing more than just that. What facts do you have that support your statement of doubt regarding what they thought of each other? Allow me to note, it seems as if all the positive comments regarding his fathers song release supports the appreciation of the effort. Now there's a fact to note!

Legal documents are facts. You should try reading them. I think Sharon was pretty honest about her feelings. Once again what is your horse in this race? Drumming up some work for Fourth Quarter Entertainment?

Legal documents are not facts, they may include factual information, but they are presented to be interpreted by an opinion or directive of law. What were her feelings that she was honest about? As for my horse, I probably would consider it a cross between Secretariat and American Pharoah. Fourth Quarter Entertainment can't say I would drum up any work for them, I've never heard of them before?

She wanted to take possession of the house John Nelson lived him which was not owned by John so she did not inherit it. She then stated that she wanted to take the instruments that Prince played on as a child and sell them. This was all right after her dad's death. All of these comments are in the court papers and we have her comments concerning estate matters for Prince. I am not going to get into with you about who you are. You are only posting on these John L Nelson topics and no where else in this board or a reson. [Edited 7/17/17 4:26am] [Edited 7/17/17 4:27am]
