There is a definite correalation especially finding out if true that he proposed over the phone to M1.

Who does that if in mad love?

May 19th 1997 edition of Jet magazine

sitting with Myte for the interview Prince out of nowhere mentions Vanity after pics of Vanity and her new husband surfaces.... The interviewer hadn't asked him a thing about Vanity, but Prince felt the need to bring her in the convo for whatever reason, lol...

Prince "Everyone thought I was going 2 marry Vanity. She is where I am right now. She's connected with her spirit. I heard her say she was worrying about my spirit,but everything is OK."

This was very suspicious indeed...

He had the money and means to make a GRAND proposal- including flying to Spain to get on one knee. Prince was the master romancer/ seducer. By the way she described it in the book, he sounded sick and down. The whole thing was spontaneous and unplanned.

Looking back and the V of the bangs. Did you guys see one of his fave pics of M1? it is all about V and the poor thing has no clue

Can I add this too . . . the silver hoop . . . that is V and Prince too and M1 has taken it. I find it peculiar as if she does not know his history or does not care.

Yes exactly, I think a lot of his emotional pain at that time came from this(Vanity marrying someone else) I feel as though he never would have married M1. After being married a few months, Prince suffered a near overdose. A time that should have been one of his happiest. But instead he end up in the hospital. We discussed this at length on the big Vanity thread but now we may have some context with Mayte's book. Maybe to fit missing pieces of the puzzle of what was going on with Prince?

The fact none of these women had alarms going when he talked about Vanity is strange. Did they believe the hype about her and that Prince and Vanity did not talk and disdained one another or were they young and felt their beauty and sexy was enough and Vanity was old and no competition?
