He was an extremely bright individual - you have to be bright to be as witty as he - and he did things to people who wanted things from him that they didn't like. That's 2 strikes: he didn't give it to them and he got rid of them, so, in their mind, he did something "to" them. Some people can't take "no" for an answer.

Future generations will get what we leave them with. I'm grateful there are a couple of upcoming books that will deal with the music and the man in a more "observational" way and these authors are much more well known.

You are correct, she is alive and dead wrong ( or suffered from an intense case of selective memory when they offered up that check). When it comes to remembering events that are crucial to her credibility, her publishers profit margin determined how said particular rumor would be extrapolated and quantified as "fact'. That "compassionate friend that told her" may qualify to some as "fact", but reasonably intelligent people would beg to differ. You gotta ask yourself....

I don't have PR money either. I get my mom, friends or Care.com to watch my kids. Plus, the woman was earning money on the freaking show (as well as other jobs.) whilst she was filming it. Plus, she dated Tommy Lee..people with no money and no connections wouldn't even have a way to enter into those social circles. No she doesn't have PR money...but even a "modest" home in Los Angeles county is expensive. My uncle used to live in L.A. County (not HOllywood) and he had two jobs to pay for a shitty little 1200 square foot ranch in Rancho Cucamanga (SIC).'

I do think she loved Prince and her son. I do think she isn't intentionally mean or cruel. She seemed to work hard. She does seem compassionate in many ways about PRince) She seems pleasant but I do detect that she is more opportunist than she makes out.

He had been conflicted in wanting to leave the situation in general, not her in particular...at first. By the time it was over he had hurt her so badly that she had said things that hurt him and he had done things that hurt her, both I think had gone too far and he had no choice but to leave and she had no choice but to let him.
