She fulfilled her purpose though. No need for a Jill Jones or a Sheena Easton for a project such as A6. I'd even go as far as to say the somewhat amateurish sound of V6/A6's vocalists was enhancing the recordings' "dirty" sound and, therefore, serving the concept well. In a similar manner Morris won't be remembered for his vocal talents but his voice and style served the Time's purpose just as much. There was a "recorded in the basement in one take with second hand gear" dimension to P's music at the time, particularly those side projects, that gave it a great part of its strength. Does anyone know the date that this happened? I think it is likely in the late summer/early fall but I'm not sure at all and have never found a date for it.
