Morris Day & history Excuse me for not googling this but I'm sure you .ogrers can give me a more detailed explanation. I get that Morris Day & Prince had a long history/friendship back in the day and while it's nice of him to post on facebook etc, i was wondering when, how and why prince made him change Morris' band name and why it's back to the Time again. Has Morris decided to just ignore any feud they had? Can someone explain all this to me? Thanks!

-- Morris did an interview with the New York post a few weeks and said that he was up at Paisly Park in January and that they patched things up.

Did Morris really say that they patched things up?

Did Morris really say that they patched things up? -- Yes, he even mentioned that they were not on speaking terms when Prince called him to come to PP to perform in January. He also said in that article that he believed that Prince knew his time was short and invited him up to PP was his way of saying goodbye.

You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton

I think the 'fued' was little more than Morris wanting to make moves as 'The Time', and Prince stonewalling it out of love, but not explaining that to Morris, until his health turned for the worse.
