Nice--a show with Sheila & Morris.

Interesting...2 days after the planned MPLS tribute show

Sure wish Sheila E was going to be in MPLS

Hope they expand this to other cities...

The greatest live performer of our times was is and always will be Prince.

Remember there is only one destination and that place is U
All of it. Everything. Is U.

So Sheila's doing this but can't make the official family tribute show? Weird.

I'm guessing whatever fall out they had around/after W2A they reconciled before he passed? Unless this is all just publicity for her? Though the impression I get is his death hit her hard. Maybe that would have happened regardless if they reconciled or not? confused

This looks great. It would be much better if it included the original lineup of The Time though. Nevertheless, it's bound to be a good show.

I've been hearing rumors that the official family tribute show is not going to happen. One person even told me that a member of The Revolution told them that the show was just a "rumor" and was not going to happen. Also, several people have said that they called the U. S. Bank Stadium asking for booking details, only to be told that there is no concert scheduled for October 13. That there is no signed contract for a Prince Tribute Concert. At first, I dismissed this notion, but now, I'm starting to wonder. What a mess...

And you think his family should be in charge of his estate. What family. Did prince make up with his sister? Cuz they had fallen out at some point.Hopefully they had, And his legacy will be honored. And doesn't just become about making as much money as possible for all concerned

Odd then that Londell would say an announcement was coming out after Labor Day. I don't know how it can be called a rumor when there was an official family announcement for it. Morris Day even posted about it on his FB page making it seem like he would be there. But originally ticket information was supposed to be announced in August so...it does seem to be a mess.

Like I said, it's a mess. This is why I will NEVER believe that Prince died without a will. I don't know how it happened, but SOMEHOW his estate plan has been quashed. And it certainly seems that Sheila E. is now working directly against them.

This is not optional. As long as there is no known will, Minnesota law clearly stipulates the order of inheritance. I've made peace with this fact. Right now, I just want to see Prince's legacy preserved in a manner befitting his stature.

And, Prince does not deserve this chaos and uncertainty surrounding the announced tribute concert, which is happening almost six months after his passing. He would be appalled. It is really heartbreaking.

To provide clarity and to avoid confusion, I am not scheduled to perform at the Prince Tribute Concert currently planned for October 13th.

In these months after Prince's passing, there is still much being sorted out and discussed. Among them are performances and tributes which have taken place and planned among many different groups and organizations.

It is appreciated that each of us; family, friends and fans find ways to display our respect and admiration for one who gave ...so much to so many. In the course of the days, months and years ahead, I like many of you will continue to honor Prince in various ways.

I thank you all for your consideration, love and support of me, all of the Paisley Park families, and the Legacy of Prince, now and in the future.

God blessed us all,

Sheila E.

That was exactly what I was thinking. lol Let's face it, it's not like Prince's career was always perfectly, neatly organized. There was plenty of chaos and disorder. wink

I got my tickets for Cleveland! Second row.

I thought I would never buy into this but it appears this will be the only tribute I will get from someone connected to P. So I pushed the button and got the tickets.

Sheila was at both family memorials so I dont think there was a problem with P's family??

Maybe something happened between Sheila and the family after the memorials?

I dunno.

Whats worrying me is that not one member of his family have come out and defended Prince against some of these drug allegations, and so forth. They are very quiet. And from what i have read about. He wasn't particularly close with any member of his family that's left. I hope i am wrong, i really do. But i am not very confident that Princes best interests are going to be served. Hence the distance forming from some bandmembers and the like away from the Estate. Its all a waiting game at this point. I am praying it will turn out fine. Not having a large funeral for him was a big mistake and could have brought some closure to fans around the world.

She said she thought it was too soon to open up PP for tours. Maybe it's something to do with that.

Now, this is interesting. If this is true, what a fiasco since the concert has already been officially announced. They even announced a few acts that would supposedly be there. It is strange that more details haven't been announced along with ticket prices and info. After all, this is a doggone stadium, not a small club or arena. Even Prince didn't announce last minute hitnrun concerts in stadiums--not that I remember anyway...

I don't think the estate or Londell ever announced acts.
