I know, right! I wad going to travel 1,000+ miles and make a great weekend of it. I need to see them at 1st Ave. I'm thinking they'll add more shows at some point and I'll be ready.
Due to the high demand, who knows, may be they just might add some shows. But don't hold your breath.

This is ridiculous!
They should have done this through a bigger venue!
Could not get tickets at all both days.
Not Available until the time of release and then instantly SOLD OUT!
This is shitty that they did this to Loyal Prince Fans!
All seperate and not all together anyway!
His career was more than just the Revolution.
So this is wrong on so many levels anyway.
I give up!
I guess It's not meant to be.
I mean to be honest, having The Revolution at First Avenue. Pretty much all kinds of Prince fans were going to jump on that. I mean they are from the era where mainstream was introduced to Prince AND his fans from his early days fell in love with him.
Of course they shows were going to sell out but they should had added another day or another venue, in addition to First Avenue. |

Are you serious or you just having a hissy fit. or maybe you just don't get it. Non-Vip Tickets when on sale Wenesday evening, tthen VIP went on Sale Thrusday, I'm pretty sure folks have extra tickets. But having a hissy fit and marginalize the Revolution is not the way to get empahy for someone to offer you a ticket. |

Very glad they are doing this.
after seeing Mayte & Sheila E pour their personal tribute to Prince at the BETs...the Revolution will do an honourable tribute
And hopefully something that will be as cathartic to them personally as it will be for those lucky enough to attend
Selfishly - I hope it is such a success...they take it on the road to some of Prince's favourite haunts...
Japan and Europe...most importantly...good old Blighty!!!

I did not even expect tix The Revolution to me was his one true band. I wish them good shows, love and peace even tjough I am unable to get tix. This smacks of spoiled entitlement. Perhaps they had NO idea what the interest would be... Perhaps there will b more shows around the us. I have always respected these musicians. I won't be a baby or brat because I don't have tix . Love, peace and thanx to the Revolution always. Never giving up! [Edited 7/8/16 19:57pm] |

They said themselves this is only the beginning and they plan to tour. So those of who cant make it to the 1st Ave Grail will still get more chances to see them "Almost all art is trying to become an anaesthetic and at the same time a healing session drawing up the magical electrics.” |

Nice! Hopefully it will be streamed...
At a certain moment Eric Leeds and Atlanta Bliss were a vast section of the Revolution live band. How C.O.O.L. would it be if they would guest appear, too? |

Eric Leeds was at the First Avenue shows in 2012 and 2014. I'm not sure about the 2013 show. I think fDeluxe are doing some shows in Japan at the same time The Revolution shows are this time, so he most likely will not be there. I think Atlanta Bliss retired a long time ago. TRUE BLUE |

Miko?
No Miko. Miko fell of the radar after he & Prince had it out. I think he went off to Europe or Ibiza. From my info he didn't keep in touch with anyone really, even Sheila E. I don't think he was at the 2000Family Jam was he?
I never really considered Miko a full Revolution member. He was moved around a lot. From Sheila E's Glamorous Life band to the Family band. There are at least 4 others from the Family band that weren't placed when St Paul left: Jonathon Melvoin, Jellybean Johnson, Alan Flowers -the bass player and Billy Carruthers keyboard player from the 1984 Time band.
Jerome(fired in 1986) Wally & Gregory let go in 1987 were all a part of the Family band too and used for the Parade era tour/videos

In 1979 First Avenue became a place that changed my outlook on the music industry. In 1981 when I joined Prince and in 1983/84 when we Formed the Revolution and soon after filmed Purple Rain, First Avenue night club has been home for me. For decades it was a nesting ground for me to groom, test and launch new music and bands. In light of Our loss It is only appropriate to go home where it all began. A place to heal, a place to pay tribute to are fallen brother. For all who are upset and angry because we chose this smaller venue, I am truly sorry. It is only the beginning however. We are planning very good things to share with our world wide Purple Family. We R all in this together.
