That is one thing about the BET tribute. That you can tell Sheila E wanted to do more and with more of the other protege/bands but timing, and how many could she fit up on that stage anyway. But it was still a rush job.

I don't think they could have just usurped Paisley Park to have tribute shows.

I think since NPG played Revolution music, Revolution could play NPG era music too.
yeah Revolution has a lot of love. Plus they all came together with NPG members @ Prince's death. And Lisa & Wendy (and Bobby Z) performed with different alter NPG groups too

It's a little unclear-- does anyone know if the VIP tickets atually put you in a position to get better viewing for the show. It says "access to the venue for a reception." But does that mean you get into the GA section early too?

I just tried to buy one VIP presale ticket and got back a message saying 'not enough tickets available, try another type or lower the number of tickets requested' so then I tried buying a GA presale ticket and got the same message.

Don't know if I did something wrong, if there's a glitch in the purchasing system, or the presale tickets are GONE GONE GONE already...

Got two tix for Friday show! Whew! I thought it was gonna be hard but got through on first try with the Current's password. Looking forward to it!

I had passwords for First Avenue and The Current and only managed to get 1 GA for $65 for both shows. I'm trying for VIP tomorrow. The last few times the VIP got you meet and greet and early entry into First Avenue, upstairs and downstairs.

I got 2 tickets for both shows and am going to try for the VIP tomorrow - I couldnt get any of the codes to work for the VIP tix....


But

Im broke but hubby and I are going!

I managed to snag one GA for Friday, and a VIP for Saturday. I think I'm good with that.

You may want to call eTix. I was told the password for VIP tickets during The Current's presale is not the same as for general tickets. I was able to get general admission tickets, though. Good luck!

Im sorry. I feel your pain. It's very frustrating when tickets gets sold out so quickly and so many tickets get bought up all at once. I hope you're able to get tickets tomorrow, or from somewhere at some point. (and I hope the same for me too. I'd sure love to go to this. I didn't get to see the Revolution the other times they got together due to poor health and the last time I saw Prince was in 2002. I really wanted to go to this. I was hoping I'd luck out...)

Called and they said they have tickets that will go on sale tomorrow. All pre-sale tickets, except for friends/family, have been sold out.

iI have to work tomorrow. Today was my only chance. I'm just so disaappointed. And will be for the next two months.

Hopefully they'll come over to Europe, be good if they could pull a few bands together on a tour ... Revolution ... Family ... Time ... Sheila E ... something like that would be great, the Revolution were always popular in Europe, so that would sell, I saw Sheila E at the Jazz cafe in London a few years ago and that was packed.
