Sorry, just rubs me the wrong way with what a lot of Prince insiders (like Dr Funkenberry) have been saying about Sheila E. I could be wrong! Maybe she is not doing this for anything other than noble reasons!

For the record, I always loved when Sheila E would perform with Prince. They seemed to have a natural chemistry. But with the way things ended between them in 2011 and the things she's said about him before, I don't blame people for not trusting her or her motives here.

I think it's going to be great. She's been with Prince and loved him from the start. I trust her and can't wait to hear it.

I do not blame him for what happened....that's silly.

What I blame him for is the way he treated us like we were all over-reacting at the time just because we were showing concern. He was a real dick about it.

I feel the same. Not to derail the thread but I noticed stuff from his podcast that I'd seen elsewhere from others. Hard to explain. I also find it bizarre how he's close with TMZ and the ex wives like posting about Mani's wedding & pregnancy. I think for sure he knew Prince but I really don't think they were as close as he wants to make out, like maybe more an employee than true friend. I won't hate too much though cos he's obvi a huge fan on Prince & wants to protect the legacy so that's all good.

Back on topic - I don't mind Sheila but the whole tattoo thing & the engagement suspicion gives me so much second hand embarrassment!

I don't like the song, at all. Also have mixed feelings about it's release, but that's just the sceptic in me I guess. Love Sheila E, but not feeling this song at all. Anyway, who am I to say how someone should/does mourn, right?

the words/lyrics don't flow well, no poetry to them. The music and sentiment is beautiful.
