GREAT PIC! i agree that sm has better technic, but her voice sound flimsy to me. jill's is more full bodied but lacks the finesse.

Susannah Melvoin was an attractive lady no dobt..very earthy looking in the photos i've seen, but Vanity was everything; very beautiful, sexxy, exotic looking and very charasmatic..she really was in a league all her own in my opinion.

Just as Prince's passing is hard for those of us who were teenagers or older during the PR era when P first got big, because we see one of our own "class" gone, it might've been that type of feeling P had when Denise passed. It feels almost unbelievable and is sad. Another reason that Sheila left: throughout 1988,Prince was submitting new tracks to Sheila for her fourth Paisley Park album,but she didn't like the tunes he was coming up with."Where are the melodies?",she said.One of these songs is "Girl Power" which,I agree,isn't very good.

Oddly enough,the exact same thing was happening with Jill Jones.Prince was working on new songs for her second album,but she didn't like the songs and the direction.She went to London with a different producer and worked on new songs without Prince.He was furious.
