What do you guys think about the relationship between Prince and Mayte? I'm just MAINLY trying to understand why HE filed for divorce.

Also, tell me your thoughts about Prince & Vanity. Did she leave him? Did he still love her after ALL of these years & why?

Only Mayte & Denise know the answer to these questions -- and WTF does it matter anymore. (Not that it did before.) Leave them alone. They deserve better. So does he. Folks should respect his wish for privacy on this kind of nonsense.

I think he loved both of them, but because of his abandonment issues couldn't stay faithful to them or any women. I watched this Listen to me Marlon doco the other day and Brando was abandoned by his mother as a child, and then on he couldn't stay faithful to any women (had others waiting in the wings etc), I see a similiar situation Steve McQueen (I AM Steve McQueen doco) and with Prince, they are not bad people but sometimes what happens to you as a child can affects your relationships in the future.

I'm just simply asking for everyone's thoughts. I'm not dying to know or anything. Just curious. Both were beautiful women.

And honestly - use the search button. Not being mean. You have to realize that there's so much chatter in the last month, almost anything has been covered or brought up. These are topics within the last seven days, easily, that are still active.

Thanks for your reply. I think that's very interesting how men & women will treat others based on their childhood experiences/trama. If only we knew better when we were younger.

Yuup and I know some people who had horrific childhoods but never cheated on their loved ones etc.

I just joined the site not too long ago. I haven't really had the time to see how everything works. I've read the active post. Just wanted to create a new one with different questions. I browsed through the site (without joining) when I was much younger and recently discovered it again after forgetting about it.

It a learning curve, you will be ok. The last month has been absolute hell, we are all greiving and trying to make sense of a loss that came out of nowhere, and hit like a ton of bricks. Plus having to deal with the speculation until all the results come in doesn't help. I thought what happened to MJ, Whitney, Amy was awful enough but now its happening to Prince We don't know what happened for sure about Prince's relationships with Vanity, Mayte etc but I expect in the next 18 months or so, there will be more tell-all books that will cover these topics.

Thanks:) I totally understand. I've been talking everyones ears off about how much I love Prince and how I can't believe this happened, so i'm glad I discovered this site again. Much of the speculation about how & why he died is totally uncalled for. It's like the media thinks that the love we had for him will change based on gossip. I loved the music that he gave to us and nothing will change that. I just created this thread because I generally like hearing others thoughts on relationships. Idk how to delete this thread lol but thanks for the convo.

Thanks for the advice. & yes the conspiracy theories are driving me crazy lol I said to my mom the other day " I would (without question) forgive Prince if this all were a joke. It's so heartbreaking.
