Althou, some time ago she honesty (in a rare moment of insight-for her) stated that she never really knew P. and as she has stated many times she was not even allowed to phone him during the day! Does that sound like true love to ppl? She was 16 when they met; again true love or a repeated pattern on his part? She sold her possessions from their relationship recently for her charity. Somewhat tacky to say the least, but, why sell the hand written notes and disclose personal details of the proposal to the public? True love, I'm sure. As far as P. being "dishonest" during the Oprah interview; in my opinion he had a right to be, for the very garbage we see on this form. Some things are personal and even sharing a little bit opens a can of worms. Oprah through many of her crass and insensitive questions proved that. I won't get into other tacky things Mayte has done. She is not 16, 18 or even 22 anymore and I wonder how much longer ppl will continue to not hold her accountable for her choices? Ppl are not doing her any favors almost twenty years after an incident by allowing her to continue with her perception of reality by giving her attention. She should have taken any money she made and went to school and gotten an education(becuz clearly she has no wisdom), instead she moved to Hollywood to persue a certain kind of lifestyle and fame. I would love to look up to her again. She is such a beautiful woman. Show the world that you can survive Prince!

I have to agree with you. On March 17, 2016, Mayte was selling her wedding ring, the "heart" scavenger hunt notes that Prince gave her to find the ring, Prince's clothes and her wedding china. Why is she trying to act like she is still his wife? She wasn't acting like Prince's wife when she was with Tommy Lee. I do understand that she is grieving, but, what about Prince? How do you think it made Prince feel to see that she was selling their personal items on an auction site almost 20 years since their baby's passing? The only sycophants on here are the ones that somehow magically give a pass to someone because of their association with someone 20 years ago regardless of their current situation and behaviour. Mayte, who claimed to be a Vegan during the preg. (and accepted an award for such during that time) later admitted she was sneak/eating chicken during the pregnancy so P. didn't find out. Just an early sign of her high moral standard that I see this delightful display a continuation of. Kudos to all the enablers and M. wannabees on here. Apparently, I was mistaken. I found the Hollywood Exes episode that I was remembering. It's Season 1 Episode 7 around the 27:00 mark. At the time, I was not aware that Mayte had a miscarriage with Prince, so I assumed that it was with Tommy Lee. In this episode, Mayte reveals that she had a partial molar pregnancy and that it was partly caused by her being a vegan. Sorry for the misinformation.

Like I said before, I've always loved Mayte. I got to talk with her back and forth on social media years ago, she's very sweet. The way I see it is, if P made such a huge impact on our lives and we (most I assume) never even met him, I can only imagine what an impact he had on a woman he was married to. His spirit, his presence...I'm having the hardest time of my life coping with his death so I can't even imagine what she's going through. Yes she was young, which to me makes even more sense as to why she would take it so hard no matter how long ago it was. But, that's just my opinion. My heart aches for her. I hope she can hold herself together for Gia's sake.
