Don´t know about "favorite" but Morris Hayes really liked Strays of the World when he heard Prince´s early version for the first time. So do I . It´s an often mocked and very underrated little gem and should´ve have stayed on the Come album as the closing song. It´s sorely missing on that one. Great song, great message, great musicianship. " I´d rather be a stank ass hoe because I´m not stupid. Oh my goodness! I got more drugs! I´m always funny dude...I´m hilarious! Are we gonna smoke?"

So, none of the tons of songs he wrote about her in the Emancipation era then? .
What a waste of effort on P's part, all he had to do was court her with 17 Days, an old track!

Perhaps she remains a fan but her years (and the music) associated with her time with him has left her cold? I was surprised too. A robin sings a masterpiece that lives and dies unheard...
