Update, Ida about 3EG, "the band is taking a break" (3 nice pics, she was in Copenhagen at DMA, last week) Source: http://underholdning.tv2....den-bedste
Update: "I guess what is written by TV2 is the band is on a "hold", taking a pause"?
Translation (google).. quote:
"TV 2 has spoken to Ida Nielsen, the bassist in Princes band. She told that they take a break with the Prince band at the moment, which was also the reason why she was in Denmark [at the Danish Music Awards].
- Well, Prince is just the best musician I've ever met. It is fantastic to be able to play with an icon, she told TV 2".
(then of course also something about the Prince solo tour..)

They're just taking a break, that Kirk / Mononeon band is actually Judith Hill's backing band, Prince is only using them at Paisley while 3rdeyegirl is busy. Nothing more. |

Mono stated that that was for Judiths original shows at PP only...He then said Prince called him back to be a apart of his band...If 3EG is working on something , why Donna there |

So that's what 3 years together? Didn't we do a "How Long Will They Last" pool? I knew from the start that I loved you with all my heart. |

Exactly. Prince has even tweeted twice (one of which was deleted but posted as a screen-shot by Baron3121) that Kirk, Mono & Donna are his 'new band'.
Prince was even playing with this band when Hannah was at Paisley watching from the crowd.

I have nothing against Ida Nielsen but I´d love to see Prince with MonoNeon and Kirk Johnson as his new band, or even better yet Michael Bland and Sonny Thompson again. And Morris on keys. Now that would be exciting. " I´d rather be a stank ass hoe because I´m not stupid. Oh my goodness! I got more drugs! I´m always funny dude...I´m hilarious! Are we gonna smoke?" |

We'll just have to wait and see i guess. Hope this is his new band and it leads to some kind of funk type set up, maybe with Mr Hayes back on keys. |

Now that would be great! He played with Sharon King and the Dap Kings in LA the other day.

I bet those girls wouldn´t mind taking a break, they´ve been busy with the 3rd Eye Girl project for such a long time now. Then again, it´s a chance of a lifetime.

Morris is one of the most underrated band members ever. You´d be surprised how talented he is. " I´d rather be a stank ass hoe because I´m not stupid. Oh my goodness! I got more drugs! I´m always funny dude...I´m hilarious! Are we gonna smoke?" |

What did Hayes bring to the table as a musician?
Toured with Prince on and off for 20 years, knows P's songs like the back of his hand, was able to trigger samples, provide the complex horn/synth parts needed unlike Cassandra or Josh. in my opinion of course, nothing against Cassandra but i really think Prince's live sound (playing the hits, eg Cool, Raspberry Beret, Lets Go Crazy, U Got The Look), the hits have sounded very thin on the keyboard side of things since Hayes left. And then if you listen to certain boots, from the o2 aftershows for example, Mr Hayes really knew his stuff, he was also a bandleader alongside Gregg Boyer. Surrounding himself with young musicians is great and alwats makes him up his game, but you cant beat those old skool players like Renato, Maceo, Hayes, Sonny + Michael B etc |
