You are so right. Is Gia of Puerto Rican herritage?

Mayte is a ambitious but not hard edged. I just think she will make a great mom; supportive without being overly pushy. (I really do hope that Gia gets a baby sister someday. Mayte is very youthful for her age and certainly can keep up with kids.)

I wasn't surpried by Nelly's reaction to Mayte adopting. She had her heart set on a blood grandchild. She'll warm up to the baby soon enough if she hasn't already.

The baby has blond hair, not to say that some people of Hispanic descent don't have blond hair, but I was surprised to see a blond child. I thought Mayte would have chosen a child that looks more like her own family, not that it makes any difference. Regardless, the child is loved, which is all that matters.

I'm curious to see if this "open adoption" will work out well. I hope the birth mother doesn't have any ulterior motives, like stardust in her eyes or something, knowing Mayte's personal and professional background. I wish them all well.

First of all Maytes girl is ADOPTED, so the child is not blood-related to either Prince or Mayte and secondly, Mayte and Prince divorced around 1999/2000(years could be wrong - time flies), so Prince has nothing whatsoever to do with this child!!

Mayte is lovely and is my obvious favorite on Hollywood Ex's besides Andrea. I'm so happy that Mayte has adopted a child and wish her nothing but success and happiness as a mother and a woman!

I know very little about Mayte. All I can say is, she lost my interest when I saw her on a Tommy Lee documentary when she (in an angry & bitchy tone) said to him, "F*ck me or I'm going shopping!" (while riding in a limo) because she wasn't getting her way. I mean, SERIOUSLY woman? I was absolutely astonished at her insolent & selfish (tantrum like) behavior. It was extremely immature (like a spoiled child / brat). She's definitely no sweetie in my books. I'm amazed at what some guys will put up with. If she wants (or hopes) to get serious with anyone else (or remarry) she best look in the mirror and reflect on that Tommy special. Who wants to live with that? Just sayin'. I mean, if she's willing to do and say that on camera (with absolutely no shame), what in the world is she doing and saying in private / off camera? For real?

Mayte, you wrong, girl. Dead as a door nail wrong. The way you acted toward Shamika was downright rude. I guess you got your ass up on your shoulders when you saw Shamika's mink trimmed shoes. OK, Mayte, everybody knows you're an animal lover, but that doesn't mean you have to malign everyone you meet who sports leather or fur. Just as Jennifer was admonished for blurting out some stupid shit during your baby's introduction, some things are better left unsaid. Plus that obviously fake act about not knowing Martin Lawrence made you look catty. Maybe you felt threatened by a new member of the group. But your making light of Shamika's Lupus was downright gauche. You had your pity party with your trials and tribulations. How dare you make light of such a serious disease. After all, it leads to oher conditions which ultimately can be fatal. I used to work for a rheumatologist and have seen the ravages of Lupus, and it's nothing to make fun of. Shame on you!

Yup! I definitely caught on to that. Drea actually changed the subject and asked "So is she nice?" but prior to that Mayte spoke very coldly of Shamicka. Who by the way, comes across as sweet as pie and shes beautiful. She can't say that the mink shoes were the reason that she was cold to her because like you said, watch Maytes face as soon as she see's Meka. Mayte rolled her eyes as if to say, "what is she wearing?" She just comes across bitchy. How you gon' be mad at her for wearing mink when your purse is made of leather? I feel like the more the show goes on, the more comfortable Mayte is and the more she's being herself.

I also didn't like that Mayte just had her daughter for a week and was already telling her daddy that she was going to continue partying because she had the perfect babysitter. The baby isn't a doll.

keep in mind that this is a tv show and its a drama. Its no secret that reality shows are scripted. Its all part of the script to create watchable drama tv.

This show is much more entertaining this year. Love the girls but I agree with everyone Mayte was a brat on the last episode. I just kept thinking she must be hating on Shamicka because she looks like a chick Prince would date lol. She immediately gave her the stank face the minute she walked into the room and she knows damn well who Martin Lawrence is smh.

As others have said Jessica needs to learn to stfu sometimes and Drea needs to stop with the dramatics (love her though). Shamicka is sweet as pie. Sheree is a bit of an instigator. Nicole seems the realest out of everyone (love her!).

MAyte is an amazing mom to that little girl. I have been there since day one of her adoption process and have spent alot of time with Mayte and her daughter and she has been amazing. Not too mention how can you not be when little Gia is the cutest sweetest baby. THe whole process was very quick as the mom came to Mayte and told her she cannot keep her baby and wants to give her a better life and thinks Mayte would be an amazing mom. And like that the adoption happened. Keep watching this season as everything works itself out for all the girls. THey are a great group of women who all have their own story,but yet all have similar stories.

So please don't doubt the legitimacy of this adoption. Mayte and her family love that little girl just as much as if she gave birth to her herself.

Apparently Mayte just posted a pic of her with her new man on her Official Facebook page!! His name is Gabriel Humberto!! Not sure what he does though!!
