I saw her on Maxwell´s FB page the other day, he took a picture with her.

On the first season of her show, they showed her looking at her options to start a family, such has freezing her eggs, for example. But after consultation with a fertility specialist (in which dude basically said look, you're aging, and you have a higher chance for abnormalities with these old eggs of yours), that idea apparently went by the wayside. That little pudding plum she adopted is a cute lil ole fat thing, though. All cheeks and smiles. It's a heartwarming thing to see little baby find a home whee she can be cared for and loved. I have to admit I got the warm fuzzies seeing a woman react the way that Mayte did at the realization that she could be a mother again. So many of these reality shows on tv focus on strife and negativity, it's nice to see someone get their "happy" on.

I think adoption is a wonderful choice. I had a baby at 40 by getting pregnant. The father was not in my life very long but because of the birth still somewhat a part of my life. Mayte may have not wanted the complications of getting pregnant by a man that you don't want as a life partner. Plus, there is the feeling that your need to be a mother is matched by this childs need to have a mother. ( hope it is a wonderful experience and that she adopts a second child at some point).

Nice to see Mayte happy again. I can understand why she's done the show, I guess it's like therapy for her. It must have been hard having to surpress what she went through, I'm glad she now come to terms with her past and moved on to a happier life.

That was lengthy (30 minutes?) and overall a good sit-down interview. Topics were age appropriate (motherhood, dating, family, ect) and it's good to see a woman of a certain age in just 'even keel' in an interview comfortable in her own skin. Looks like the 40+ years are going to be good to Mayte, she looks really looks like a woman coming into her own in all aspects of her life. Very nice.

As for Mayte, I never really was a fan, but I'm sure she'll make a great mother.

The Reason her mom wasn't "happy" at first is because MANY times adoptions go wrong.. Birth moms change their minds.. she just didnt' want to see Mayte hurt..

Mayte has Had Gia for a LONG time now.. the adoption was finally along time ago.. this is a TV SHOW guys.. it isn't just happening..

I knew about Mayte Adopting MONTHS before she told the world.. her Mom Nelly told me.

Mayte's mom has always struck me as a vicarious fame whore.

Her mom is nothing like that.. but if you guys knew all the truths that REALY went on with Mayte and Prince and Nelly.. You would see that Nelly has alot to be upset about. Mayte is a Saint for not just blurting out terriible things regarding Prince. She keeps alot to herself.. ALOT!!!

Most of the people who come on the org are big or small Mayte fans; few people dislike her. She was in his life for over 10yrs so clearly she knows not only him but many people who knew the younger Prince and met his parents. It is amazing what she doesn't say.

I have never seen a post on the org from someone who had met her in person and found her rude in any way.

I think she got caught up in trying to establish herself as an actor. Looks like when she started talking to the other moms on the show she thought she better focus on making a baby too before she got too old.

Guess its hard when you are more of a "career girl" and stay busy.

but you are right.. Maybe is a sweet person.. but talking to Nelly and Knowing her personally I think she loves her daughter alot and lets face it.. Prince did ALOT for Mayte.. There is No telling if she would even be Known of if her mom didn't push a bit...

What career? She hardly set the world alight with her belly dancing or acting has she? Others manage both and they are Hollywood a listers. Well... you prove your own point.

If you must hustle to get any gig you can and audition like crazy because you tend to get passed up for roles... a person would have o put in extra effort. She did a lot of little roles, commercials and cameos. Modeling as well... spoke model for Bed Head, some panty line and other stuff... so she was under the radar, no large roles or anything...

but she seems to have been keeping busy just the same.

Guess this reality show is what will help her most with future work.

Yes, she does look very happy and lit from within. My sense is she'll be very into being a mom. Her dogs may be jealous of having to share all that affection, lol.
