Thanks for that, the site I got it from had Susan Rogers.

I actually contacted Suzie via her site

HI, Wow, the people in the photo are L to R Eddie Meninfeld, Jill Jones, Susie Davis an Miko Weever. What were we recording? I have no idea! Look at those big ass eighties glasses!

Thanks for sharing!

Wednesday Purple Rain 1983

Wednesday (sometimes erroneously known as There's No Telling What I Might Do) is an unreleased track recorded on 24 October, 1983 at Prince's Kiowa Trail Home Studio, Chanhassen, MN, USA (five days before Father's Song). It was intended to be sung by Jill Jones in the movie Purple Rain, but it is unknown if she ever recorded vocals for the track. It was included as the fifth track on a 7 November, 1983, configuration of Purple Rain (although it is not known if vocals on this version were by Prince or Jill Jones).

*

the snippet is about 1.50min Prince singing in a falsetto, just piano

*

It was supposed to be a scene prior to Prince walking into the club and talking 2 Jill about the tape Lisa & Wendy gave her to listen to.

*

That scene sheds a little light on the background relationship between the Kid & Jill

Wendy & Lisa gave her the tape to give to the Kid. They must have felt he had certain affection

for her that he would listen to her.

*

FADE IN: PR Outake:Wednesday (What Will I Do)...

(23) INT. CLUB EARLY MORNING

* Jill scene cut from the movie, read below

MUSIC wafts through the sun-drenched
CLUB. Jill is seated at the PIANO, 'a
la Marlene Dietrich, SINGING to her
heart's content. A cigarette dangles
from her lip, a police cap is perched
jauntily on her head. It's a simple bar
tune, delivered slightly off-key, but
with an openness that is endearing.
Chick is working in the corner,
chuckling to himself, stacking chairs,
sweeping up.

Suddenly she stops -- listens intently.
She jumps up, deliberately spills her
orange juice on the piano. Prince comes
around the corner, stops short--

PRINCE
(surprised)
What are you doing here?

She's a bundle of loose, embarrassing
ends -- the cigarette, hat, juice--

JILL
What...what are you doing
here?

He feels caught out -- SCANS the BOARD
earnestly for Vanity's info -- tries
to think of something to say--

PRINCE
Huh ... it's kind of dead in
here. Where is everybody?

JILL
In bed I guess...
(to herself)
Oh, God ...
(changes subject)
Guess what, I bought a dog.

PRINCE
That's nice...
(he spots vanity's card)
Ah, I guess I'll come back at
a better time. You think
tonight the the place'll be
jumping?

JILL
Well, I'll be here -- I always
like what you do.

He smiles, moves to the door -- Jill
connects with a thought--

JILL
Wait! I've got something for
you.

PRINCE
What? A subpoena?

JILL
(embarrassed)
No...

She rumages through her bag, pulls out a
cassette--

JILL
It's a song Lisa and Wendy
wrote.

He stiffens, doesn't reach for it--

PRINCE
(suspicious)
Why didn't they give it to me
themselves?

JILL
Well, I liked it and wanted to
listen to it. They told me to
give it to you when I was
done.

He puts his sunglasses on, hesitates,
then takes it from her gingerly. He
regards it for a long time--

PRINCE
You really liked it, huh?

Automatic is a song by Prince from his 1982 album, 1999. It was released as a 7" single only in Australia, with the B-side of "Something In the Water (Does Not Compute)".

A promotional music video directed by Bruce Gowers, who previously directed the "1999" video as well as videos from Queen, Rod Stewart and John Mellencamp, was produced for the song, which features band mates Lisa Coleman and Jill Jones whipping Prince in a simulated S&M session. The video was not released through conventional outlets but circulates amongst collectors.

Recorded Sunset Sound and Minneapolis 1982

Automatic

U ask me if I love U
It's automatic
Cuz every time U leave me, I die
That's automatic 2

U ask me 2 forgive U
When U know I'm just an addict
So stop the music, baby
U know U're all I wanna do

CHORUS:
(Hey!)
A-u-t-o-matic
Just tell me what 2 do (Oh)
A-u-t-o-matic
I'm so in love with U

U ask me if I'll kiss U
It's automatic
And if U cry, me cry, boo hoo
That's automatic 2, ooh

I would never leave U
No matter what U do
So stop the music, baby
U know I'm an automatic fool

(Hey!)
A-u-t-o-matic
Just tell me what 2 do (Until I stop)
A-u-t-o-matic (Oh)
I'm so in love with U (Oh ooh)

I'll rub your back 4ever
It's automatic (A-u-t-o-matic)
I'll look 4 a needle in a haystack
That's automatic 2, ooh (A-u-t-o-matic)

I'll go down on U all night long
It's automatic (U will?)<-Jill (Yes I will, babe)
And even when I'm right, I'll be wrong
That's automatic 2 (A-u-t-o-matic)

Tell me what 2 do, baby
Mmm
So in love with U, yeah
Tell me what 2 do, baby
So in love with U, baby yeah
Alright, alright
Tell me what 2 do, baby
Yeah, yeah, yeah!

(Hey!)
A-u-t-o-matic {x2}

Come on, baby
A-u-t-o-matic
Tell me what 2 do
A-u-t-o-matic
So in love with U

Don't say that no man has ever tasted your ice cream
Baby, U're the purple star of the night supreme
U'll always be a virgin
4 no man deserves your love
I only pray that when U dream
I'm the one U dream of
I pray that when U dream
U dream of how we kiss
Not with our lips, but with our souls
Stop me if I bore U
Why is it that I think we'd be so good in bed?
Can U hear me?
Why do I love U so much?
It's so strange, I'm more comfortable around U when I'm naked
Can U hear me?
I wonder if U have any mercy, don't torture me

Stop the music, baby
Automatic fool!

When it comes 2 U, I'm automatic, baby
There's no one else like me
I'm the best U'll ever find
No one else could understand U
U're 2 complex
They say nothing's perfect
But they don't know U
It's automatic 2
Can U hear me?

(A-u-t-o-matic) {repeat in BG}

Honey, I'm so addicted 2 your pleasure
I'm addicted 2 your pain
It's automatic
Automatically insane
Undress me

Hey!
A-u-t-o-matic, oh no, no, no, no
A-u-t-o-matic {x2}
Hey!

Fasten your seat belts
Prepare 4 takeoff

I can dream of how U kissed me
Not with your lips, but with your soul
With U I'm never bored
Talk 2 me some more
I can hear U
I'm going 2 have 2 torture U now

Guys like you with winter faces

I am so attracted to

I guess I'm just a sucker for cold romance

Maybe I'm just a sucker for you

Before you disappear you say, "Darling you're mine, please wait for me"

It gets harder each time for me to say goodbye to 77 Bleeker Street

-

Now I can feel when you miss me

Even though you're with someone else

Maybe I should get somebody too

Is it so wrong to want you all to myself?

-

People ask for my number but they really don't know me

They really don't know the me that can't say goodbye to 77 Bleeker Street

-

Oh baby, baby, baby

You'll always have a piece of my love

You'll always have a piece of my mind

Even though we're so far apart

Can't you save a space for me somewhere in your ocean?

-

77 Bleeker Street...somewhere in your sea

77 Bleeker Street...save a space for me, baby

77 Bleeker Street...I gotta know, I gotta know

I agree nod it's such a shame that Jill wasn't able to take advantage of the Purple Rain hype.Imagine if her debut album had been released in late 1984 or early 1985.Songs like "G-Spot","All Day/All Night" and "Mia Bocca" were perfect for that time period.By the time her album was finally released in 1987,those songs were old and didn't stand a chance on pop radio.

Yep,

G-Spot

All Day All Night (maybe a duet with Prince)

Wednesday (What Will I Do?)

Sugar Walls

...

nod "Sugar Walls" would have been the PERFECT song for Jill to kick off her solo career with.Prince really should have given that song to her and released her album in late 1984/early 1985.Another song that I would add to your list is "Blue Limousine",which she sings backup vocals on,anyway. That's two strong singles right there.

YES,

What would have been cool is just to have the Sex Shooter songs with Apollonia Susan & Brenda for the movie

But have Jill Susan & Brenda do an album of songs together in some combination

For Love
4 love I have given U the very best, yeah
Any woman ever can
4 love I would follow U everywhere U go
My friends don't understand

I would tie U with a chain
If that would put U in the frame of mind I think's so cool
I want U so badly
Don't U know I'd gladly give my life 4 loving U

CHORUS:
4 love
Do most anything 4 love

Listen 2 me

4 love I would suffer kisses from another
If that was what turned U on
4 love I have done less and still felt the best
When I'm with U, nothing is wrong

I would tie U with a chain
If that would put U in the frame of mind I think's so cool
I want U so badly
Don't U know I'd gladly give my life 4 loving U

CHORUS

Do most anything 4 love (4 love)

Baby, come and take me, any way U make me
I'll be good and that's 4 sure
Baby, if U love me
I'm the one and only doctor that's got the cure

Baby, I would tie U with a chain
If that would put U in the frame of mind I think's so cool
I want U so badly
Don't U know I'd gladly give my life 4 loving U

4 love
I'll do most anything 4 love

4 love {x4}
I'd do, I'd do
Do, I'd do, I'd do
Looka here
I will do anything, anything 4 loving U
Uh, kaleidoscope of musical colors, ooh, hit me!
Sounds so good, uh
Mmm (Coca-cola) Ha ha
Yeah!
(What's that?)

4 love, 4 love, 4 love

Hang on, uh
I gotta go feed the dog
Oh, oh, oh, yeah! {mimic dog barks}

(18) INT. CLUB -- UPPER BAR AREA -- NIGHT

VANITY watches as he moves away. She
jumps up, lunges onto the dance floor,
CRASHES into a waitress, JILL, whose
tray SMASHES to the floor--

JILL
What are you retarded or
something?! Why don't you look
where you're going?

She's 18 years old, blonde and pretty in
a cute, innocent way. A Daisy Mae-type
whose emotions form so quickly, she has
trouble sorting them out. Right now
she's mad as hell -- she thinks--

VANITY
Sorry ... where's the office?

Jill squats, picks up the broken glasses-
-

JILL
Do you think you can just come
in here and take over?

VANITY
I said I'm sorry -- what do
you want me to do? Where's
the office?

Jill points -- Vanity hurries away --

JILL
(triumphantly)
No one's in!

Vanity stops dead in her tracks, does a
slow burn. She walks back to Jill--

VANITY
Okay, so you got me back,
fine. Listen, I'm from out of
town. I have to see the
manager, it's important. I'm
a real good singer and dancer.
I know he could use me.

JILL
Do you have any experience?

Vanity simmers, enunciates every word--

VANITY
Yeah...definitely.

JILL
Follow me.

And she turns on her heels, makes her
way through the club, moving into the
vicinity of the stage. Vanity follows
her reluctantly, casts a look to the
band. She spots Prince for the first
time -- stops instantly...

...Vanity snaps out of it. Jill is
tugging at her arm, a puzzled look on
her face--

JILL
Here, fill this out -- I'll
have him call you.

VANITY
I don't have a phone. When
will he be back?

JILL
Well...you can try tomorrow.

VANITY
You can count on it.

Vanity hands the card back to her --
