John Blackwell is a beast and in my opinion, in the same class as Sheila E and Michael Bland when it comes to power, groove, dynamics and musical identity that is in perfect lock step with Prince. In the last 10 years, he used Cora Colaman on the "3121", "Planet Earth", "Lotus Flower" and "Elixir" albums and between 2005-2010 played countless shows. Judging from CC's playing and Hannah Ford's small body of work with Prince thus far, which lady would you prefer Prince uses for new projects and tours?

as for who is the better drummer? I have only seen CC and Blackwell. Nobody has seen Hannah so it is hard to answer but her videos on youtube are SICK!!

I think I saw CC at the Superbowl backing Beyonce.

CC Dunham (Cora) was far more in the pocket, both for Funk/R&B and Rock, and she was also far more powerful, especially on the snare and cymbals.

This could be attributed to style, however. Hannah seems to be a bit light on the snare, and the tone of the snare is a bit thin, but that may be her style.

Hannah has impressed me though... the Jimmy Fallon performance, and the 'Let's Go Crazy Reloaded' are good examples. Her drumming on 'FixUrLifeUp' is not.

Cora rocked HARD on the songs 'Boom' and "Dreamer' from the 'Lousflow3r' album.

So in short, to make it balanced, Hannah is more fiery and Cora is more powerful (and in the pocket).
