The Time's Tori Ruffin Interview Now on Funkatopia

Exclusive interview with Morris Day and The Time guitarist Tori Ruffin with Funkatopia.com's Mr. Christopher. Tori talks about The Original 7ven, Prince, Big Ol' Nasty Getdown and much more! And it's maybe more candid than he should have been.

Wow... there's nothing more irritating than listening to a drunk collect his thoughts while trying to hold his vomit down.

He was fighting a cold. I had been with him all night and he was not drunk. It was also 4 in the morning when we did the interview.

Great work Funkatopia. Really enjoyed it.

Tori is a great friend and a monster on guitar. We always love sippin' on the Juice.

Peace

Joe

Been to quite a few shows over the last couple of decades... it's rare that I've seen Tori not drunk... He always waits for the crowd to thin so he can hit the bar shortly after the end of the show... It's just my general impression that he drinks way too much, but if you say he was sick in that video and not drunk then I take your word for it. But he looks drunk to me.

Again, it was 4 in the morning. We were worn out from playing all day and the Fishbone show. Trust me, we were just in a good place.

Naaaahhhhhh...he ain't drunk. He just took too much 'tussin! lol

We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.

Ok, I'll leave him alone. I didn't like his comments celebrating the break-up of The Original 7ven and that probably affected the way I perceived the entire video. He's not drunk.

lol. Yeah, I don't think it qualifies as "celebrating", but it's also no secret that he has to have been a tad pleased with the OUTcome since it's a huge part of his INcome. We all missed the opportunity to see Jesse back at the helm which millins of fans have looked forward to since the original break up, but it is what it is and it wasn't Tori's doing. But he ain't compaining.
