Before they turned purple Who knew an associate artist before they got in the Prince camp? I used to work with DJ Brother Jules at Avis car rental at the MSP Airport before he started spinning for Prince. |

I recently ran into an individual who claimed to work with in the Prince camp during Lovesexy/sign O the time periods. They didn't really interact with Prince much, but they did interact with the band.

You know what, a hot book would be on the protege scene 1982-1985 especially Vanity Susannah Jill Jones,
Sheila E's would section would have a Unrequited Love feel. She was/is so star struck of Prince, it was probably a part of her character in Erotic City but seems to have been sorta real too

lol, I had actually thought about buying it at one point, of course after she came to her senses about the price, but after reading the reviews on it, I decided " I was just not into her" .

I'd read an excerpt somewhere and the writing was HORRIFIC!!! And the reviews were bad! (Can't seem to un-bold this- sorry- not meant for entire post to be in Bold! ) anyway, back to my sentiment- but then I see Vanity on TBN talking about her book and the guy was blowing such smoke up her ass saying, "How did you learn to write like this? You're such a prolific writer? Wowza! Your writing is phenomenal!" WTF? If it was anything like what I read- twas not!

Lol...what was her response to the interviewer? Prince did an interview with a woman at Record World. They talked about whatever, then he asked her: "Does your pubic hair go up to your navel?" At that moment, we thought maybe we shouldn't encourage him to do interviews. | |
