Hey PaisleyRose. are you so far up a man ass that you never met and that does not even know your alive, that you don't consider Mayte an ex-wife? She only carried and had the mans child and lived under his control all those years....but she was not an ex....PaisleyRose, you make no sense. Stop hating on Mayte because she was the wife of a man you are obsessed with. Think logically my dear....
[Edited 3/22/12 20:50pm]
Sweetheart, I'm just interpreting the law. You, melted man, seem to be the one covered in some kind of melted poop.
Prince is the one who annulled the relationship with Mayte, and she agreed. They and a court of law decided their "marriage" was void, not me.
I'm calm, but you're heated up by my commet on two people you've never met. My answer is logical, yours is sentimental.
Of course I can not verified. But it has been said, and verified by people who are connected to associates/members of PPark that MeltedMan has in fact met BOTH people. And he remains loyal to Mayte.

Their "marriage" was annulled, which legally means there was no contract (no marriage). It is as if the "marriage" never too place. So legally she is not anyone's ex-wife. She is single, as if she was never married. Prince could probably sue her and make her stop referring to herself as his ex-wife at all. "If you have your marriage annulled, it never existed. … out an application that says: ” married, single or divorced”, you would check off single." I got that quote from the website of a law firm. Just saying...
He tricked her into annulling the marriage, proabably so he wouldn't have to give her so much $ when it was over. I think that proves that she's a sweet girl because she went along with the annullment, she wasn't thinking in the terms of $ like he was. He couldn't have pulled that shiz on Manueala, Manueala would have never stood for the whole "we don't need no stinking contract" bs, she knew what was up. But obviously they WERE married! They had a wedding, he went on Oprah and called her his wife, they were going to have a baby, please- they were married!

Really, my husband comes to me and says oh, i don't want to be married to you anymore let's get this thing annulled and she goes ok, because i want everyone to know how sweet i am and not thinking about money, i will get our Marriage annulled. Hmmm, doesn't sound right to me and would prove to me that she is dumb not sweet. If we heard this story about a "regular woman", people would be calling her dumb, not sweet.
And if they did get it annulled then in the eyes of the law, they were not married, no matter how one tries to spin it. Don't necessarily agree with them getting it anulled, it wouldn't been me, but hey, who really knows when they started having problems
And for those people wishing she would tell all, just nonsense. How about you put you life story on the internet for all others to see and pass judgement on. I am pretty sure she has skeletons in her closet as well, just like everyone else. Innocent victim she is not! Just a woman that made Choices, whether good or bad, she made them. |

Listen, I don't think went along with the annulment thing, thinking "people will see how sweet I am" WTF? Of course that's outrageous! What I'm saying is that P was obviously thinking of protecting his ass and he knew he was moving on to someone else so he makes up this BS about how, he doesn't believe in contracts but their together spiritually or some BS and lays it out to her like that, what I was saying was that her mind obviously was not on the money, (as it is with most of these women) and so she went along with it. Yes, it was dumb, very dumb, but what I'm saying is, she was not the one being sneaky. HE WAS! So yes, I would write a book and TELL IT ALL! |

Listen, so you know for a fact that Mayte Garcia never thought about Prince's money. No one outside of prince and mayte really knows why they got it annulled. I didn't buy their press conference then and I don't buy it now, but what, did we really think Prince would tell the world his personal business i.e. the real reason for the split. Anywho, I guess we will have to agree to disagree on this subject of how a 25 or 26 year old woman was duped into getting her marriage annulled, when she probably knew for a fact that he was getting it in with other women. |

I don't think there's any question of someone "going along with" an annulment. It ain't like getting a no-fault divorce. You actually have to have grounds for getting an annulment - such as that one party acted fraudulently, or wasn't legally eligible to be married, etc. It isn't a willy-nilly kind of thing. Saying, "I no longer believe in contracts" wouldn't be enough. Neither would infidelity. An annulment states that the marriage was never valid - which carries a pretty hefty burden of proof.
Maybe it was a Catherine of Aragon-type annulment. Something like, after the death of their child, they found out that one of them was a genetic carrier of Pfeiffer Syndrome. (Let me make it perfectly clear that I am only speculating - this is just an example. Not saying it is true in any way. I am in no position to know.) But if one of them had a genetic defect that wasn't disclosed, that would be grounds for an annulment. Kind of shitty to push something like that, but it seems like it was a pretty shitty business all around. We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves. |

My personal take on all of this...
As the story goes, Mayte's mother sent Prince a videotape of her then 17 year old daughter dancing. hmmmmm Her parents then send her off to be taken care by this 33 year old man, who lives half way across the country and is considered to be a "different" kind of guy who wears makeup and heels. hmmmmmm He sticks her in an apartment in a Minnesota suburb, and says you'll be at my beck and call...but don't come knocking. Meanwhile he has this other hottie name Carmen Electra in a similar situation. Except one says enough and splits to California, while the other sucks it up. You can't blame her, she was young and naive. A few years later, Prince decides he wants only her and is giving up all the other women. The get married, have a baby. That doesn't work out. Like a lot of couples who lose children, they grow apart quickly. He ships her off to Spain and he stays here. He's thinking, how do I get rid of her and she not get all my money. I'll throw this "contract" issue around and get her to believe it's all about that. The marriage is annulled. He finds a new woman. C'est La Vie Baby! TRUE BLUE |

Interesting! I always thought that whole "annulment" stuff was just Prince bs. I remember hearing something about him not wanting their marriage to have a contract or some such nonsense and they were supposed to renew their vows later but ended up actually divorcing.
Meh! I don't know.
Perhaps Mayte will set the record straight on the show. I knew from the start that I loved you with all my heart. |

Yeah, at one point in her life she's gotta grow out of this old Prince bullshit. I imagine it was a very tough experience for her like a dream come true reality soap fantasy world, that she still wants to cling on those memories, but many years later she should normalise.

^^ It's a mystery, though, isn't it? - because neither Mayte nor Prince has had a child. Manuela has one. Does that mean it's P? But what about Mayte? It's one thing not to have kids because you simply don't want them. But for people who want them, not to have one is a little odd, and Tommy Lee said how much Mayte loved children, and I think she's said so herself. Who knows?

Oh quit your panicking. [img:$uid]http://i37.photobucket.com/albums/e70/SexyBeautifulOne/pat.gif[/img:$uid]
Real Prince fans know damn well, there's a non-disclosure contract the size of an old yellow pages phone book, from Prince and his lawyers, on someone's desk at VH1, in order for this to even be happening at all.
So Mayte isn't going to burst any happy purple bubbles with any dirty little paisley secrets, no matter how much I wish she would. Damn it!

Nah, Mayte is pretty damn sweet....for the supporters out there...thanks...but for those that do nothing but hate and think Prince does no wrong, thats pretty obsessive behaviour. Mayte is out there discussing her life and what she has doen SINCE her divorce...the show is not in it for these exes to embarass or hate on there exes, for god sakes, these women all have children from these men and stay in contact with them, why would they do that? And Mayte, she does not have it in her to embarass or negatively speak about Prince. And believe me, there is ALOT she can say, but she isnt, and it has nothing to do with non-disclosure agreements and such, she just does not want that kind of karma in her life. So don't jump the gun thinking this show is going to be a trashfest on the exes of these women. Its just a show to see what they are up to now and how they have transitioned from that life to where they are these days. So please stop hating, nobody is going to hate on Prince....you think he would care if somebody was hating on you? |

Oh there it is! I never even thought of this and it is certainly very plausible. I always thought it had to do with the loss of the baby and then a desire on someone's part to never have kids but I never thought that being a carrier of the gene could be grounds.
Who knows?
Yeah you have a point. I personally think Mayte can and will have children just that she is busy trying to get her break in Hollywood. I believe you CAN have healthy children if you are carrier of that gene. You just need a lot if medical/fertility intervention. which of those 2 do you think is against doctors?
