Yes I do defend Mayte because she is MY FRIEND. She is somebody I care about and somebody very close and dear to me. That is not being obsessive, thats being a friend. WHy would you defend Prince? Is he a friend? Does he give a rats ass about you? Get back to reality my friend. I have a right to say the things I do because its all truth. Its not from a second hand source, its from me, my own head and things I have experienced so be it with Mayte or Prince. So that is not obsessive, that is reality.

Mayte gave me bellydancing advice so I think she's helpful. She doesn't take fans for granted just because she was Prince's ex. Prince never gave me anything and I never spoke to him.(I love him and admire him greatly though) If someone was ever the manipulative one in the relationship, I just have a feeling it wasn't Mayte.

I know no one is going to read this but whatever i just wanted to say it.

I am so sure that what you're saying is the truth, I've always gotten that vibe from her and you're right, when fans approach her she is accesible (I have never but I know someone who saw her out and she was very sweet to them) and we all know Prince is known for not giving two shits about his fans. Well, he doesn't care to sign an autograph or chit chat etc. That's one thing I've always hated about him, Michael Jackson LOVED his fans and you could feel it... Prince, not so much. I just don't understand why people on here hate on Mayte sometimes. I would be the first to want nothing to do with some self-absorbed ex wife of a rock star, but she isn't that.

Lord, folks sure love to pop off about nothing in the AA forum . On fire over someone's appearance on a reality show? Heck, I just figured the girl would get a few good luck wishes. Like it or not, reality shows are the inexpensive wave of the tv future, and have proven to be a lucrative platform for many. If she was able to land a reality deal, then I say good on her and hope she makes the most of it to make inroads into other ventures, and invest soundly in her future.

Beyond that, watching all the bickering and much ado about nothing here is proving quite entertaining in and of itself

I must admit I was hoping for a primetime serious drama but....I guess this will have to do. I will watch because I love Mayte....I just do. now, I just have to find VH1 on the channel line up...I haven't watch MTV or VH1 in more than 10 years.

Although I'm not a fan of these reality shows , I find myself almost wanting to see what Mayte would say about Prince not because I like drama but because Prince have silenced so many people as if no one have their own experiences & stories to tell , it would be interesting to say the least to see someone finally speak up and speak out : Prince is a human being just like the rest of us . Although I dont really watch reality shows or care for what Prince's ex's are up to now( I dont even care what my own ex's are up to now muchless anyone elses that I dont know ), I wish her well.

If anything I feel a bit sorry for Mayte because she will always just be known as Prince's ex wife and that must be pretty hard to shake off. So I hope she can make a name/career for herself from this show and it is successful for her.

Also my boyfriend met her after a Prince show in the 90's, she was standing there with Prince and she was smiling and started talking to my bf, he said she was very friendly and sweet.
