I wish Mayte would choose projects that would truly separate her from her Prince days. This seems like she is just selling out. She needs to truly step out on her own.

I always have wondered that myself. WHY would she befriend Manuela? Even if Manueala is as sweet as pie, her motives and the way she got Prince are so shady. I just do not understand it. Mayte seems like a genuinely good person and I think its obvious she really was in love with Prince and had no ulterior motives but as for Manueala...

Hopefully it focuses on their lives so they can break out of their pasts. What exactly have they been doing of any great note? I'm not sure of the rest, but Will & his ex are great friends.

When all else fails, sell yourself to VH1. Please, I can't say that I'm suprised, when you can't really sing or act, what else is left to do in hollywood. I personally, never bought into this whole "Mayte is the sweetest" thing. I am pretty sure it will go the route of the other shows, where Prince and Eddie's name will not be mentioned.

I was just on Funkberry's site and saw a pic of Mayte (the one where she's in the coral Gucci dress) and she has the Kabbalah string tied around her wrist. What's this about? Is she into Kaballah now? Hmmm.....

I think this could be epic. But only if she is Vanity-level crazy, or Jill Jones-level bitter. If she isn't going to throw Prince under the bus, then I will lose interest fast. I wonder who she will fight?

I really don't see the relevance of this show, though, when their marriage ended ten years ago. Any drama she has will be totally unrelated to being an "Ex"

Prince is known to thoroughly scold people who cannot keep quite about personal matters. I am sure Mayte is well aware of this, so it makes this all the worse.

She needs the money obviously, but still not cool.

This is VH1. This is the big leagues, in terms of reality tv. She will have to talk about Tommy and Pam, she will have to talk about Prince's controlling behaviors. And she will either have to be the enforcer or a victim. Oh there will be fights. In fact, all these shows are anymore are just a series of staged disagreements that result in a staged confrontation and then a fistfight. Still ,this has HUGE potential for her. I doubt Prince could buy her silence this time. The upside is too great.

I don't watch reality shows but from what I've seen and heard on previews it all appears scripted anyway so I don't get it either.

All I want to know is, was he controlling before they got married or after? hmmmmmm, I am going to go with before, so imo, mayte can take a seat. He tricked her into annulling the marriage, proabably so he wouldn't have to give her so much $ when it was over. I think that proves that she's a sweet girl because she went along with the annullment, she wasn't thinking in the terms of $ like he was. He couldn't have pulled that shiz on Manueala, Manueala would have never stood for the whole "we don't need no stinking contract" bs, she knew what was up. But obviously they WERE married! They had a wedding, he went on Oprah and called her his wife, they were going to have a baby, please- they were married!

all of this makes me wonder in which state did they get their marriage annulled. in some states they would be husband and wife by common law, in others it would go by the duration of the agreement/relationship etc. some say that if you had children you can't anull, you have to divorce. that was the bs mick jagger tried with jerry hall. also rene zellwegger annulled bcos they were 2gether just a few months. its different in different states just like marriage laws.
